Excuse me if I didn't get permission from the high priests of propaganda; but after reading Hitler's description of propaganda tactics written about ninety years ago and looking at the tactics used by the Clinton campaign and media outlets supporting her it seems clear that they have a lot in common. However modern propagandists have improved on Hitler's tactics; and they've learned not to pursue a course of action so extreme that it even destroys themselves, or at least not immediately.

This isn't limited to Hillary Clinton using propaganda tactics; it now dominates the consolidated media and that includes the right wing Republicans. It also includes most comparisons with Hitler to Clinton from right wingers who support radical extremists that might be as much like Hitler, if not more, than Clinton. This often plays to Clinton's advantage especially if they do a bad job with their comparisons. When this happens Hillary Clinton can claim that it is an unjustified attack and that the right wingers are the real threat and that she is the one standing up for the public.

Whether you consider the comparison to Hitler legitimate or not it should be clear that a greater effort needs to be made to teach the public about propaganda tactics that can be used to manipulate them so they can make their decisions based on rational research, instead of deceptive lies. Neither the mainstream media or many if any politicians do this. When a politician does try to inform people of manipulation tactics they're often only doing so selectively when they're being used against the politician not when they're using it against others.

However a closer look might indicate that even though the right wing extremists don't make a good argument comparing her propaganda tactics to Hitler's there may still be a reasonable comparison after looking at the details.

Don't take my word for it; look at some of Hitler's quotes from Mien Kampf and judge for yourself. If you don't recognize some of these tactics in modern media I'll follow it with a few examples:



Is there any doubt that few if any of the highest profile candidates including Hillary Clinton "investigate the truth objectively" and try to convince the public to base their decisions on it? How much research does it take to determine that an enormous number of the claims from Hillary Clinton's campaign or the campaigns of the Republicans doesn't hold up to basic scrutiny, if it's actually applied? The media which used to try to at least appear to fact check many politicians claims and even investigate some stories that politicians never bring up have virtually given up this responsibility. They still fact check some of their stories; but in most cases they only check things that average voters with access to the internet could do themselves.

I have no doubt that those whop do a good job researching Bernie Sanders claims will find that they're almost always much closer to the truth. The reason for that is almost certainly because, unlike Hillary Clinton, he rose through the grassroots in a much more progressive state that was much more involved in the political system through town hall meetings, more common in Vermont than many other states. His followers have done much more research to determine that they've been following the right candidate. He claims that his enemies, presumably the British during World War I, before Mien Kampf was written, repeated their propaganda over and over again and the Germans weren't nearly as good. This was probably at least partly true, although it almost certainly wasn't completely true.

But don't take my word for that; if you doubt it do your own research.

In addition to describing his own propaganda tactics, Adolf Hitler also demonstrated them in practice, including the practice of attributing his negative characteristics to his opponents and implying that they don't apply to him. Hillary Clinton's campaign is doing the same thing. Her campaign manager even claimed that Bernie Sanders is trying to rig the system when he attempts to get the "super-delegates" to switch to his side even though they're supporting Hillary Clinton by a seventeen to one margin when the popular support is much closer. This claim is so bad it is clearly at the state where it appear "to be idiotic" and it is hard to imagine this one will ever appear rational unless the public doesn't do any of their own research, which unfortunately a lot of them don't.

However one tactic that somehow has become acceptable within the mainstream media, and ironically even Hillary Clinton uses it, is the irrational phrase, "there's no there there." This is a senseless blunder that makes no sense and, for those who don't remember it was ridiculed when Bill Clinton was the first to use this phrase. When he was defending against accusations which later turned out to be true about Monica Lewinsky, he was well known for using legal denials that often seemed very deceptive to the majority of the public even some of his supporters more worried about other issues. He often relied on narrow definitions of one word or another to avoid legally admitting to one thing or another. This led to famous blunders like "that depends on what the definition of is is," and "there's no there there."

Young people that were born about twenty years ago might not even remember this or understand why media pundits are mangling the English language when they say, "there's no there there," but this was how it started. As Hitler might say, "At first" this phrase "appeared to be idiotic in its impudent assertiveness. Later on it was looked upon as disturbing, but finally it was," accepted as a legitimate denial. On several occasions including a few days after was recently asked about donations from fossil fuel companies by Greenpeace Hillary Clinton responded by saying "there's no there there," even though further research indicates that she did receive six times as much money from employees as Sanders and much more, three to four million by most estimates, went to her super-PAC. Bernie Sanders doesn't even have a super-PAC. This is actually a common phrase for her as you can see if you google "Hillary Clinton there's no there there," she's turned her husbands blunder into a regular denial and the media practically never reminds the public.

Does the Clinton campaign believe Hitlers claims that, "The receptive powers of the masses are very restricted, and their understanding is feeble. On the other hand, they quickly forget." If so it will explain why they think they can flip on almost every issue important to the public, including the Keystone pipeline, support for TPP, CAFTA, Fracking, gay marriage the war in Iraq and many other issues which Bernie Sanders has been consistent on. A list of issues that she flip-flopped on during the election would include dozens of issues if people have the time to research them, which a lot of people don't. But her propaganda is often repeated over and over again, often unchecked by the traditional media.

Some things have changed since Hitler wrote Mien Kampf. In the twenties the vast majority of news was spread through newspapers or word of mouth from those that read them to those that didn't; now most people get their news from television but the best informed people are more likely to get their news either from newspapers or alternative media outlets on the internet. Instead of counting on, "those who believe everything they read," the Clinton campaign and most Republicans might be counting on a group of people that believe everything they see on television repeated over and over again. Or some of them might "no longer believe anything" they hear from mainstream media but when they find a demagogue that demonizes the media like Donald Trump they might believe everything they hear from him, even though he's getting enormous amounts of free coverage from the media they don't trust and he doesn't even make as much sense as the traditional media.

It's hard to make less sense than the traditional media but Donald Trump manages to do it.

The third group that Hitler speaks of may not be the same size that it was when he wrote his book in the 1920s; but his basic idea is probably close to the truth even if he didn't follow up on his beliefs in a rational manner. I doubt very much if most people that fall into this group would be inclined to trust Hillary Clinton's claims or the claims that most of the Republicans make. Since Hitler wrote his book there has been an enormous amount of research into manipulating the public and very little of this was used to teach the public how to avoid being manipulated by demagogues. Instead it ahs been used to significantly improve on how they manipulate people. I have reviewed some of this in Manipulation Tactics;Philip Zimbardo, Lucifer Effect, Stanford Prison Experiment; and Eli Roth’s Milgram/Obedience experiment much more extensive than most people realize in an attempt to show how the government and the military has been involved in this and how people can avoid being manipulated, at least to some degree.

Some of their tactics are much more complicated now; but some of them are very simple when you think of it. The simplest way they can ensure that grassroots candidates don't win is simply not to cover them at all. This is much more effective now that the media is now controlled by six corporations that can rig high profile elections by simply refusing to cover the best candidates. In many cases the most qualified people fro many offices are almost certainly ones that no one has ever heard of.

Fortunately there are some exceptions like Bernie Sanders who seems to have gained enormous amounts of coverage by slowly developing a grass roots following big enough that the media feels they can't ignore him as much as most other qualified candidates, without having his follower abandon them for alternative media outlets and exposing how corrupt they are.

A closer look at propaganda tactics described in Mien Kampf comparing them to tactics that are currently being used will turn up many more similarities, although in many cases they've been improved upon. One of the biggest improvements is that they play two parties off against each other. This is simple to recognize but they keep presenting us with the lesser of two evils arguments and a shocking percentage of the public falls for it every time. As long as the public keeps falling for this obvious tactic they'll keep using it and we'll never have a real democracy.

However one of the most common tactic remains the same, war propaganda which Hitler was most famous for. One of the simplest examples was described by Hermann Göring in an interview that might be famous among people familiar with alternative media outlets, although those that rely on traditional media may never heard of the following:





the mass media has been leading this country into one war after another based on lies and appeals to emotions at least since World War Two if not much longer. They've never made much of an attempt to educate the public about the tactics that they use to control the public instead of responding to the will of the people. Most people are shocked by Adolf Hitler, as they should be but, whether you like him or not, Mien Kampf describes propaganda tactics far better than the traditional media does, assuming people use reasonable discretion to sort out the rabid antisemitism or other manipulation tactics that aren't being presented right, like when he falsely attributes the worst use of propaganda to his opponents when his is worse.

There are now better sources of information to expose these tactics in alternative media outlets or library books that the media and political establishment never mention; but until educational efforts are made to inform the public how to sort through propaganda we won't have a sincere democracy. Instead we'' continue having a pseudo-democracy where the politicians continue manipulating the voters instead of responding to their concerns.

Obviously I think that Bernie Sanders is the only candidate that the traditional media is willing to cover that makes many claims that remotely stand up to scrutiny and can be trusted to implement a reasonable amount of reform.

If there is a more qualified candidate it is one that most people have never heard of since the media doesn't cover most candidates that don't get approval from corporations that finance campaigns. The closest thing to an exception could be Jill Stein who may be the only remaining chance if Hillary Clinton and the establishment manage to rig the media coverage and nomination for Hillary Clinton.

Recently there has been a lot of media coverage about how "rude" Bernie Sanders supporters are when they ask Super-Delegates to respect the will of the people.

There has been a lot of outrage about a speaker at Bernie Sander's rally who said, "Medicare for all will never happen if we continue to elect corporate Democratic whores who are beholden to big pharma and the private insurance industry instead of us.”

When a poor pedophile gets caught raping and killing one child there is typically an enormous amount of outrage about that; and few if anyone, including me, would doubt that it is justified.

When large institution run by people out of touch with the lower or middle class start wars based on lies killing thousands of people; profit off of pollution killing thousands more people; profit by denying medicare for all coverage to thousands of people resulting in their deaths and many other activities that cost the rest of us enormous amounts so they can increase profits there is little or no outrage from the people that control the mass media.

Why would there be?

They're getting their cut of the loot being stolen from the public and they have access to security and health care even if the rest of us don't.

Health care companies that profit off of the current system spend and enormous amount of money on advertising so the media gets an enormous profit from them. They also donate an enormous amount of money to political campaigns including to Hillary Clinton and many of the members of congress that Paul Song said he was referring to. After taking this money they preserve a system that doesn't work nearly as well as the systems in countries with Single Payer Health care.

The media doesn't report most if any of this so that the public will have accurate information to make their decisions.

They don't call it bribery even though it clearly accomplishes the same goal.

This pattern is repeated in one industry after another, where the leaders of powerful institutions are paid enormous amounts of money for controlling the industry but large amounts of expenses go towards work like advertising, lobbying, union busting, public relations that do far more to shift wealth to the rich than serve a public good for the majority.

The same goes for the so called "Super-Delegates" who often take campaign contributions from the same corporations involved in epidemic amounts of fraud or in many cases they are lobbyists or fund raisers instead of public officials elected by the people. The vast majority of the people have little or no say who these people are and they can overturn their votes the way the system is set up.

People who go through the details of this get little or no access to traditional media and often make their case on alternative media outlets that can't reach the majority of the public; but they generally do a much better job siting sources and making their case than the media pundits that do have reach the majority of the public. Instead of educating the public these pundits repeat the same propaganda over and over again.

One of the things they repeat over and over again is outrage about a critic using the phrase "Democratic whores" without putting it in it's full context. When they began this frenzy there were a few reports citing part of his speech but what was repeated over and over again was the same phrase, "Democratic whores," without reminding the public that he was complaining about the system being rigged. Mainstream media did little or nothing to confirm or deny whether this claim is reasonably close to the truth, which it is.



People that are accustomed to checking alternative media outlets are much more likely to know the details about how the system is rigged and how much money that could be going toward health care or other services in other industries actually goes to corporate bureaucracy primarily designed to shift wealth to the rich. They might also be more familiar with how the Super-Delegate system works, assuming they can sort through the details which are often intentionally complicated so that only those involved in the establishment understand or benefit from them.

However on one relatively recent occasion Debbie Wasserman Schultz admitted, “Unpledged delegates exist, really, to make sure that party leaders and elected officials don’t have to be in a position where they are running against grassroots activists,” (Un-Democratic Party: DNC chair says superdelegates ensure elites don’t have to run “against grassroots activists” 02/13/2016) This essentially means that if the alternative media manages to inform the public about many important issues and they use this information to win the majority of the popular vote the "Super-Delegates" can overrule the will of the people and choose a candidate that will cater to camping contributors while giving the majority more propaganda instead of keeping promises, which has been standard operating procedure.



Many people are justifiably outraged by that!

The vast majority of complaints that I have seen aren't exceptionally rude but few people from mainstream media pay any attention to them, and only those checking social media ever hear about them. Some of them are inevitably angry; but even in most of these cases they are less "rude" than many of the pundits that aren't criticized for their manners if they cater to corporate interests.

Outrageous policies that do enormous amounts of damage to the majority of the public especially the poorest people with the least resources. Often these are the people that do the menial labor that makes the high standard of living possible for corporate CEOs and politicians like Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Hillary Clinton.

A modest amount of research will turn up evidence that, like most politicians, Hillary Clinton's, record isn't remotely like her campaign propaganda; and if elected she will almost certainly follow past patterns. The state department lobbied against an increase of the minimum wage from 31 cents to 61 cents in Haiti, under her leadership. She didn't speak about supporting twelve dollars an hour until the fight for fifteen was well under way and it was as what she considered a more practical alternative to appease the public.

Now we're supposed to believe she led the fight for higher wages?

Her E-Mails disclosed her support for the coup in Honduras which led to many refugees; then instead of admitting to the problem and at least letting the poor children and their parents that fled from her abuse she said they have to go back.

Whether it's children being polluted by the fracking she promotes, the children turned into slave labor in sweat shops either in Haiti or other parts of the world producing goods for Walmart or the refugees from her foreign policies disasters or many other disaster produced by clueless bureaucrats these decisions do thousands of times more damage than when one pedophile rapes and kills a child.

Ironically Hillary once laughed about defending a pedophile.

Even when it comes to pedophiles there is an enormous amount of research to indicate what causes that and that most of them were abuse themselves as children. This means that if the mainstream media or political establishment educated the public about this and created policies that would do more to protect children from being abused they would be much less likely to grow up to be abusive parents themselves.

However, the establishment continues to promote policies that focus on punishing after the fact instead of preventing root causes so they pass up an opportunity to prevent domestic violence as well.

There really does seem to be evidence that the claim that politicians are "corporate Democratic whores" or something close. The biggest problem might not be that they aren't "Democratic" at all, since they don't respond to the will of the people. Perhaps they should just be called "corporate whores" serving corrupt interests and arranging for "Media whores" to provide the propaganda that makes their atrocities seem polite.

At least with traditional prostitutes people aren't lead to expect honesty or integrity. It is hard to see why people would believe many politicians including Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Hillary Clinton have any integrity at all; and yet we're supposed to be offended when someone honestly questions this lack of integrity.

The activities by politicians clearly lead to negligent homicide, at best if not intentional mass murder in some cases; and corrupting the political system so the public doesn't have accurate information to make their decisions and rigging the delegates system while pretending this is democracy should be considered treasonous.

Regardless of Polls Bernie Sanders Supports Blacks much better than Hillary Clinton

The media has been trying to present Hillary Clinton as the inevitable nominee for the Democratic Party for years, long before even one person had a chance to vote in either Iowa or New Hampshire; and every time they have an opportunity to try to declare Bernie Sanders candidacy to be over they do.

They've been doing this since the New York primary at an escalating pace without mentioning the problems with voting there that gave her an enormous edge often after the initial reports. As I explained in Can Hillary Clinton win without cheating? there have been voting problems in at least fifteen to eighteen different states and the stories have been growing, often faster than I can update this list. Recent stories indicate that if Bernie Sanders contests it Illinois might be overturned due to voter manipulation and several more states have even bigger problems including New York and Arizona which might have the biggest problems with voter suppression of all.

There are enough problems with the voting irregularities to raise serious doubts about the legitimacy of this election. When you add in the much larger advantage the media gives Hillary Clinton in this election and establishment candidates of their choice in others, there is no legitimacy to this election system. Jeff Weaver has been ridiculed by saying that he might try to win by convincing "super-delegates" to changes sides since Bernie Sanders is more electable than Hillary Clinton. This may seem to be inappropriate, but if we can't get a new election which is the most appropriate way to handle it then it is a better way to correct the problems long enough to overhaul the election system so that everyone can access the information they need, including an opportunity to hear from all candidates not just ones that collect bribes thinly disguised as campaign contributions, in the next election and ensure that they're vote is counted.

This is obviously a flawed way of handling it but it isn't as bad as ignoring the much larger problems, which is what the media is doing.

While trying to make Bernie Sanders appear as if he is inevitably going to lose they asked him if he would endorse Hillary Clinton and he indicated that it would be up to her to earn the votes of his supporters; and that he would do everything he could to ensure that a Republican isn't elected.

In a Town Hall immediately following his on MSNBC Rachel Maddow started by asking Hillary Clinton what she would do if anything to earn the support of Bernie Sanders supporters and if she would change any of her positions. She responded angrily and said that when she lost in 2008 she did everything she could to support Barack Obama without conditions and indicated that since she had so many votes that him that he should simply do the same for her without question.

Of course she didn't mention any of the epidemic voting problems or the enormous advantage the media was giving her with their coverage. Many Bernie Sanders supporters are fully aware of this and they're also aware that after campaigning as a progressive promising to put on a comfortable pair of shoes and walk the picket line if necessary and not to hire lobbyists among other things Barack Obama did the opposite once he got in office breaking most of his promises unless there was an enormous amount of protests keeping him honest, or at least preventing him from breaking too many more promises.

Despite all her rhetoric and flip-flopping during the campaign, Hillary Clinton hasn't done nearly as good a job pretending to support the public when all evidence indicates that she'll cater to her contributors once in office, assuming the media and political establishment manages to rig the election for her.

Donald Trump is already calling her "Crooked Hillary" and can be expected to repeat it over and over again between now and the election; and even though he exaggerates and lies about a lot of things there is an enormous amount of evidence to indicate that he is right about this one on many subjects from reliable sources. I provided a long list of these stories on several posts including Why would anyone consider Hillary Clinton if they knew this?

The media has repeatedly said that Trump has the worst approval rating ever; and that Ted Cruz and Hillary Clinton are almost as bad; perhaps the three candidates with the worst approval ratings since polling began are running this year. The reason for this has an enormous amount to do with the media coverage given to these candidates. With the consolidated media they have the ability to rig elections for their candidates by simply refusing to give any coverage at all to progressive candidates; and that is what they almost always do.

For one reason or another they gave insane amounts of coverage to these candidates without providing fair coverage for any decent candidates, enabling these outrageous candidates to rise to the top. Bernie Sanders has shown there is an enormous amount of support for real reform. Hillary Clinton doesn't come close to attracting the crowds and enthusiasm that Bernie Sanders does.

They might be able to rig the media coverage and perhaps in many cases the votes making it seem like she has much more support than he does but they can't fake that!



Just because Bernie promised to do what he can to prevent a Republican from being elected doesn't mean that he has to support Hillary Clinton who is as corrupt on financial issues and war mongering as the Republicans. He can either continue fighting to convince the public to support himself; of if they successfully rig the media coverage and votes, like they did in 2000; he can put his weight behind Jill Stein.

When he ran as a Democrat he ran the risk of saving the Democratic primary while providing a modest amount of reform and adding his credibility to the corrupt establishment. If he wins then that risk is still there but his supporters aren't going to forget who the real progressives are, assuming they continue doing their research.

The worst thing that could happen is if he loses as a result of cheating and he adds his credibility to their party even though they aren't doing more than a token amount of reform; and his response indicates he knows that his supporters won't fall for that.

Fortunately it clearly isn't over yet and there is even an effort that is beginning to organize a March on the Democratic National Convention 2016! with additional support at Bernie Supporters March on Philadelphia - Democratic National Convention and at the Democratic Underground This could be the biggest protest in years thanks to the incredibly bad candidates the establishment is trying to push through especially when they're trying to shut out much better candidates with well informed grassroots support that won't fall for media lies.

If these protests turn out to be large enough they could either convince the Democratic Party to start fixing the system by giving Bernie Sanders the nomination, since his campaign hasn't been dependent on epidemic amounts of fraud and begin cooperating with further reforms. Obviously many of the insiders may not go along with this but if there's enough pressure from the real grassroots they might not have a choice especially if they realize that refusing to nominate Bernie Sanders would jeopardize their duopoly by having enormous turnout from alternative parties including Jill Stein and the Greens.

If they do give Sanders the nomination hoping to preserve their duopoly it will be up to the public to pursue Instant Run-Off elections alternative media outlets until we can get media reform and more reliance on ballot initiatives.

Regardless of how or why we wound up in this insane situation it has potentially created the biggest challenge to the corporate duopoly in decades. It is virtually guaranteed that there will be another alternative party candidate from the Libertarian Party on the right; and with record breaking negative polling it is highly unlikely that Donald Trump will win.

Besides Hillary Clinton is simply not much better and falling for the same lesser of two evils trick while large portions of the country falls apart isn't much if nay better than Donald Trump, especially since the outrage of all these people provides the greatest alternative which is real reform, either with Bernie Sanders or Jill Stein.

The claim that Hillary Clinton has that much more support than Bernie Sanders because of the votes in a seriously rigged system with enormous amounts of corporate propaganda given to the people instead of the most important stories about Hillary Clinton and other candidates is no more credible than Joseph Stalin's claims to have won 98% to 99% percent in election when he was still in power!

As I've said in numerous posts since Invest in Activism, AND Bernie Sanders, Jill Stein and Grassroots and more before that the most important thing is grassroots activism; but we also need candidates in office that are at least trying to do their best so that we aren't fighting them tooth and nail just to prevent them from making things worse. With Clinton that would be even tougher than with Obama who broke many promises including to put on a pair of "comfortable shoes" not hire lobbyists and much more. Clinton clearly isn't even trying to do a good job pretending. But even Bernie Sanders or Jill Stein isn't a messiah and they don't pretend to be.

On at least one issue Jill Stein might actually be better than Bernie Sanders. He has repeatedly said that he favors arming and training Muslims to fight ISIS. That is how they were created in the first place. If we continue arming and training anyone we should keep it to a minimum since many of the groups we armed in past have turned against us or sold weapons to enemies.

It is far better to simply stop bombing Muslim countries turning people against us and making terrorists seem like lesser of two evils to some. If most Americans were being bombed by American bombs they would be much more likely to see this. This won't solve all problems but it would dry up the support for ISIS and help turn Muslims against ISIS. And developing functioning local economies both here and abroad will help reduce root causes as well.

Even after the eastern primaries including Pennsylvania Clinton is still only ahead by about 327 pledged delegates and there is still a chance to pull ahead, especially if they challenge voter irregularities. If they do this and have enough people let them know that they're not going to take it any more they could still get the nomination.

But if they rig it for Hillary Clinton and try to make us choose the lesser evil a Sanders endorsement could provide the boost and attention Jill Stein and the Grassroots movement they need to win and break up the duopoly.



If Bernie Sanders doesn't do this and the outrage is enough they could still do this; but refusing to try is submitting to corporate rule without accountability.

Which sounds an awful lot like submitting to tyranny!

Who ever makes shirts for Walmart doesn't seem to have any idea What the states they're putting on them look like and even though the people that stock the shelves probably do; they put ones with a picture of Massachusetts claiming they were Maryland.

We used to talk about enormous amounts of things like this happen in the Soviet Union because all the decisions were made in a far away government office by people who didn't know what was going on. Critical thinking at the most basic level has been eliminated form the oligarchy system.

There were at least eight shooting incidents at Walmart this month including three officer involved shootings. The police killed at least two people and wounded another and two of the police were wounded by one of the people they killed. A loss prevention officer was killed by a shoplifter when he attempted to stop him in one of these incidents.

There were also a large number of assaults at knife point this month; most of them were just threats during shoplifting incidents but at least two resulted in a stabbing, and another was a threat to a customer who was forced to buy a homeless man a meal at knife-point. At least five additional deaths happened at Walmart including a shoplifter that dies in an emergency room, two accident killing a worker and an elderly woman, and the other two were suspicious for other reasons. Another elderly women was just knocked over while a shoplifter was trying to get away; and a three year old was hurt much worse but survived after being run over.

A lawsuit was filed over a previous incident where a customer who bought a tomato was beaten and accused of stealing it, by an off-duty police officer working as a loss-prevention officer. Another police officer was accused of stealing make-up from Walmart.

Walmart has been involved in their share of scandals including labor disputes again. The Supreme Court has ruled against them in a class-action suit; a man they fired for disputed reasons is getting enormous support from the community because some people think it was for friendly hugging of customers when serving them. And they had another recall of salads.

Once again Walmart ranks last among favorite grocery stores. This clearly isn't supposed to happen in the "free market economy" where the best stores are supposed to prosper because they serve their customers well and attract more. However thanks to political subsidies and other advantages from powerful corporations including the consolidated media we only have "free market economy" in name only since connection enable incompetent corporations to get large market share and take their customers for granted, which is why they have so many problems with complaints and crime.

Even though Walmart and their political and media allies do little or nothing to report on and prevent the root causes of crime, when people are caught at petty theft they face increasingly stiff penalties including one person getting 12 years for petty theft. There's no accountability for outsourcing jobs eliminating opportunities for people and depriving them of a fair wage but when they speak out of get caught at petty crimes they get the book thrown at them. Even if these steep offenses are for repeat offenders it could be reduced dramatically by creating a functioning economic system.

They had at least two car chases by police including one where they were attacked first and another where it was over a few stolen stakes but it resulted an over a hundred mile chase through two counties and throwing the stolen stakes at the cruiser.

Another crash took place when a women intentionally drove into Walmart with her car because 'God told her to do it.' She went on to say that the Rapture was coming.

It was on the day that Hillary Clinton won four out of five eastern states including Pennsylvania and Maryland enabling the media to claim, once again, that she has the nomination locked up even though many of her victories involved voter suppression and she still doesn't have the delegates she need.

In 2006 Wake Up Wal-Mart did a study, "Is Wal-Mart Safe?" based on incidents in 2004, (PDF) about crime at Wal-Mart which showed that it increased when Wal-Marts opened up and that crime was higher at Wal-Mart than at other retailers. Since then Wal-Mart Shootings began compiling a list of gun related incidents at Wal-Mart and demonstrated that they have a large number of them, including on average more than one shooting per week somewhere in the country. In January of 2014 another study, "Rolling Back Prices and Raising Crime Rates?" provided additional statistical research indicating that Wal-Mart might be contributing to higher crime rates or at least a slowing of the decline in crime. The study found that. “on average, communities with Walmarts had 17 more property crimes and two more violent crimes per 10,000 people than those communities without Walmarts.” I reviewed this more in Wal-Mart’s crime problem, Rolling Back Safety more than prices? where I explained that although this study is helpful they could have done better with additional data that is available and I reviewed some of that. To the best of my knowledge Wal-Mart has done as little as they seem to get away with, often relying on rhetoric that isn't backed up with action, when it comes to addressing any of their critics concerns, including crime. The following are a list of incidents that occurred in March 2016. According to the "Is Wal-Mart Safe?" the average store in their sampling had 250 incidents per year, indicating that these are only a fraction of the crime reports at Wal-Mart, and presumably, the ones most likely to make the news on the internet nationwide. This isn't statistically representative, as the 2006 or the "Rolling Back Prices and Raising Crime Rates?" study or some of the studies cited by Stacy Mitchell; but it does provide some additional information that may help recognize how many problems there are at Wal-Mart.

I haven't watched the new "God's Not Dead" movie but the ads for it seems to imply that it is almost certainly a rehash of the same debate over and over again with appeals to emotion for believers and a failure to review some of the most basic principles. Often even the skeptics that don't address them because they're more concerned about proving that "God" Doesn't exist while believers are trying to prove he does exist and is benevolent and merciful.

Neither side seems to consider the possibility that some form of advanced intelligence might exist that people have come to view as "God" who has an ulterior motive, no matter how far fetched it might seem.

The common claim that the existence of "God" can neither be proven or dis-proven may be close but it probably isn't quite right. At a minimum some assumptions about "God" can be confirmed or refuted, possibly narrowing down the nature of this "God," assuming he exists. Even most if not all of the high profile authors leading the "New Atheist movement" admit that they can't completely rule out the possibility that some form of "God" exists, including Victor Stenger, author of "God the Failed Hypothesis."

Stenger probably makes the most detailed argument against the existence of the God that Christians Muslims and Jews believe in, and claims that this "God" can't possibly exist; however he does this by defining the characteristics of their "God" then proves it isn't possible, but allows for the possible existence of another "God" which would need to be defined and exposed to prove that he does or does not exist.

His argument is basically very simple. If there is a God and he is all-knowing, all-powerful Omnipresent and benevolent then he could have prevented an enormous number of the disasters in history, including many of the religious wars supposedly inspired by him. The fact that he hasn't done this proves that either he isn't as powerful as religious people claim or he isn't benevolent.

For someone that isn't trying to prove the existence of a benevolent all powerful God this would probably be adequate to prove that if an advanced intelligence of some sort known as "God" exists then he can't be as good as most people want to believe. And of course there is the common claim by rational skeptics that "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence."

The evidence to prove the existence of "God" might not be adequate; but there is extraordinary evidence proving the existence of a major unsolved mystery that has been around for thousands of years and could possibly be related to the creation of religion and an unknown advanced intelligence, although additional evidence would be required to fill in the details.

As I explained in 107 Wonders of the Ancient World there are numerous ancient wonders that can't be explained and the clearest one is the large number of enormous megaliths, some over 700 tons, that experiments to replicate them with ancient technology didn't come close to succeeding without cheating. Most of these ancient wonders weren't done by Christians, Jews or Muslims; however one exception is the ancient Egyptian obelisks, several of which were relocated by Christians including the 455 ton Lateran Obelisk which was moved by Constantius II in the fourth century and re-erected by Pope Sixtus V. Efforts to replicate this feat didn't come close to succeeding. Experiments with limited technology only succeeded with megaliths up to ten tons; and additional experiments had limited success, although they involved cheating with megaliths up to forty tons, as I explained in previous post about 107 Wonders of the Ancient World.



There are also other possible unsolved mysteries surrounding so called "Mystics" or "Prophets" from more recent history, mostly in the twentieth century, including Leonardo Da Vinci, Michel De Nostradamus, Joseph Smith Jr., Bernadette Soubirous, Gregory Efimovich Rasputin, Edgar Cayce, Lúcia Santos and the incident at Fatima, Edward Leedskalnin, Padre Pio, José Arigó and Uri Geller. None of the mysteries surrounding any of these people or events are as clear cut as the megaliths that can't be moved with ancient technology, however a close look at most if not all might indicate an unsolved mystery of some sort. In most if not all cases the believers seem to jump to conclusions that won't stand up to scrutiny; and the skeptics also make obvious blunders when they try to dismiss aspects that aren't so easy to explain. This probably means that most if not all of these mysteries haven't been fully explained and an open mind for other possibilities might be appropriate.

If there is something to some of these stories then they indicate a possibility that some unknown advanced intelligence might be able to influence some people in mysterious ways the way "God" allegedly did in biblical times. Skeptics would be right not to rule this in without further evidence but they shouldn't rule it out either.

Without an explanation for these unsolved mystery, and others which and more which would take more time to go into, it is hard to see how the existence of an unknown advanced intelligence that might have been what people know as "God," can't possibly exist, although many of the assumptions about this "God" can be easily ruled out, assuming people think about it rationally. However even though many pseudo-skeptics aren't going to admit this; and many faithful people are still going to keep their faith in a "Good God," the evidence may not support either side. Further consideration of the "God" religious people choose to believe in, based on the Bible, may be worthwhile, even if the evidence proving the accuracy of the bible isn't as strong as the hard evidence provided by ancient wonders, since even if it isn't true religious people choose to believe it.

Ironically if you consider the hypothetical Biblical version of "God" it doesn't portray him as being merciful at all, although there are passages where he says he is merciful; but he doesn't demonstrate it with his alleged actions.

In Catholic Bible Exodus 14:4 it says, "I shall then make Pharaoh stubborn and he will set out in pursuit of them; and I shall win glory for myself at the expense of Pharaoh and his whole army, and then the Egyptians will know that I am Yahweh.' And the Israelites did this"Other translations Bible Exodus 14:4 This is how "God" justifies the atrocities he allegedly commits against the Egyptians to convince them to let his people go. If he was as merciful as religious people and some Bible verses often claim then he could simply not "make Pharaoh stubborn" and convince him to let his people go without all these alleged miracles.

Instead he commits obvious entrapment and threatens to retaliate against anyone who doesn't blindly believe what they're told to believe. The entire book is full of threats to those that don't obey authority. Instead of teaching people how to get along with others the Bible describes one war after another often becasue the enemy isn't worshiping "God" in a manner that pleases "God."

And it routinely describes times where those that he previously blessed are being punished with atrocious events for not being devout enough while worshiping "God." Many people allegedly don't fully understand why they're being punished and often believe they're supposed to worship one "God" or another with their actions.

They do have some morals in it; however they're very selectively applied and more concerned with obedience to authority than respecting the rights of others. The first three or four commandments are about worshiping God and the fifth is about obeying parents as an authority figure. Then they get to the ones about respecting the right of others; but when it comes to outsiders or those who "God" disapproves of violating these commandments is not only not required but recommended in the Bible. It's full of orders to kill people for a variety of reasons, often what rational people would consider trivial, like working on the Sabbath, or they often recommend deception like when Jacob deceived Issac to get his blessing and "God" approved.

The commandment not to create "Graven Idols" to worship always seemed reasonable to me because worshiping hype often leads to a distorted thought process that distracts from rational thinking; however the Bible doesn't explain it that way and almost immediately after that God orders them to create and elaborate Ark which they worship; later on it describes how Solomon created a temple for "God" with huge megaliths, that sounds like the Temple Mount, although historians don't consider this conclusive, which has at least one megalith over five hundred tones. This is often part of their worship of "God" which serves no practical purpose for the people and does nothing to improve their quality of life.

Throughout the Bible they encounter at least three or four other cultures that worship unapproved "Gods" that also created massive monuments that experiments weren't able to replicate. They include the Assyrians, the Egyptians, the Romans, and probably the people who created the temple at Baalbek, assuming they're worshipers of Baal, which has three megaliths over seven hundred tons and a dozen or more over two hundred tons. This site also has megalithic columns with drums that weigh sixty tons and architraves that weigh a hundred tons, although historians believe this was probably done by the Romans hundreds of years after the foundation was built.

These megalithic monuments were almost certainly built more for their ability to encourage cult worship and control their people than to provide any practical benefit. They seem spectacular but take so much effort that they contributed to the decline and fall of many civilizations that considered them more important than basic functions that do benefit society.

Evidence of cult worship continues in the New testament of the Bible where in Matthew 10; 34-7 Jesus says "Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth: it is not peace I have come to bring, but a sword. For I have come to set son against father, daughter against mother, daughter-in-law against mother-in-law; a person's enemies will be the members of his own household. No one who prefers father or mother to me is worthy of me. No one who prefers son or daughter to me is worthy of me." and in Luke: 14;26 which says, "Anyone who comes to me without hating father, mother, wife, children, brothers, sisters, yes and his own life too, cannot be my disciple."

These are tactics that you might expect from fringe cult leaders like Jim Jones, Charles Manson or David Koresh that use coercion to control their followers and often lead them to bring about their own destruction. Many people may not realize it but they have their roots in the Bible which mainstream religions worship. Beliefs like 9/11 was retaliation from "God" for tolerating gay people also have their roots in the Bible which has verses about curses that involve arbitrary punishment after the fact when people won't even know what they're being punished for or why, assuming the Bible is the literal truth.

Verses like this might raise doubts about whether or not most Christians actually read their own Bible. Many of them almost certainly don't. Before I read it I mentioned a couple portions of it that I heard of indirectly including the story of David and Goliath and the one about the Good Samaritan to someone that was much more religious than me and claimed to know the Bible well. He expressed outrage saying the story of David and Goliath wasn't from the Bible and the Jewish people didn't look down on Samaritans at that time. I didn't argue since he had read it and I didn't but later confirmed that I was right.

Throughout most of Christian history most people weren't even supposed to read the Bible. Priest were supposed to read what they saw fit to the people and they read it in Latin which many people didn't even understand. This didn't change until the Protestant divide when people like Martin Luther and other reformers said it should be read by everyone. Since then a lot of people really did read the Bible, although most may not fully understand it. But they seem to go about it with the assumption that it is divine therefore they must always find a way to justify everything which leads to enormous contradictory justifications which constantly change.

The Bible also has an enormous number of verses that treat women like property and justifies atrocities against them including when a father in Sodom offered to let the mob rape and abuse his daughter as long as he left angels from God alone and a similar incident in the book of Judges among many other sexist verses. It is hard to imagine why someone like Grace Wesley would welcome his judgement. It is also hard to imagine why anyone who understood the Bible where he entraps the Egyptians and intentionally incites many other wars could possibly believe this "God" was trustworthy enough and qualified to pass moral judgement.



However, in all fairness it is worth considering the possibility that this isn't the literal word of "God" or an accurate portrayal of history, which it almost certainly isn't. Many religious people don't believe in Biblical literalism but still believe in a benevolent "God," that may have inspired their religion.

If this is true then why didn't this benevolent "God" maintain an open line of communication and inform the people that the message delivered by religious leaders, that often led to wars and propped up the authority of tyrants, was never what he intended at all?

If he was as benevolent and merciful as religious people claim this is the least that he could have and would have done.

If religious people can avoid addressing this question it is much easier to maintain their belief; if not they will almost certainly come up with irrational justifications for their God and might even respond in anger scaring many people into avoiding the discussion. This can be interpreted as winning the argument even though they never address the obvious problems.

Some philosophers might consider whether God or some other advanced intelligence might really be moral, as religious people believe or either immoral or amoral. The difference may be trivial to many. Moral means respecting the rights of others; immoral means having no respect for the rights of others; amoral means having no concern about morality at all. Nature or weather might be fairly considered amoral under this definition since it has no intention to either harm or help people and no consciousness; however if there is an advanced intelligence known as "God" that influenced the creation of religions and the creation of monuments from ancient civilizations that wouldn't have been possible otherwise this advanced intelligence does seem to have an agenda and billions of people have been paying the price for what ever that objective has been for thousands of years.



If many religious people come to the conclusion that there really is a "God" but he might not be so merciful as they previously chose to believe the most likely assumption for many of them might go to the opposite extreme, that "God" commits atrocities for amusement or evil purposes. Technically it might not be so easy to rule this out since it may seem to fit the facts but this is almost certainly another emotional assumption. If there is an advanced intelligence known as "God" he is probably accomplishing his goal, what ever that might be, in the most effective way he knows how, regardless of how much damage he does to people and animals.

In addition to experiments that prove that it should be impossible to move massive megaliths with ancient technology; it might be highly unlikely that ancient leaders would have understood advanced psychology that enables them to control large numbers of people, either for the construction of structures that provide them no benefits or to fight one war after another.

If our history, including the creation of megalithic monuments that shouldn't be possible based on experiments to replicate them, and the beliefs allegedly inspired by "God" are his way of accomplishing his goal what could that goal possibly be? How could this possibly help him accomplish it?

How can we avoid obvious denial from both skeptics and believers about many of the major flaws they routinely ignore?

The closest relatively high profile attempt to explain all these unsolved mysteries, without falling into these two categories of skeptics that rule out or virtually rule out a God or believers that insist on a God that is worthy of worship, that I know of is the Ancient Alien theorist that have been on several science and history channels including the series by that name on the History Channel. However they make their own share of blunders, often so obvious that it is hard to imagine how they could possibly miss them.

In my previous UFO Hypothesis with rational use of Occam's Razor I indicated that if there has been some evidence of UFO activity or their past involvement in our history they may have released reliable information though unreliable sources and unreliable information though sources that seemed reliable. There seems to be a lot of evidence to support this possibility, although it takes a lot of time reviewing different sources to recognize it. This theory, as described further in the previous post, indicates that if there is a UFO presence of some sort that arrived thousands of years ago they probably rely on artificial intelligence and travel that takes hundreds if not thousands of years.

If that is the case then they probably can't commute, as most science fiction films imply they can. What would they accomplish so far from their own planet?

One possible consideration might be that they might conduct large research projects that they would never allow on their own planet. This could include research into manipulation of DNA, although they might be inclined to do a lot of that on their own planet, but if their environment is different it would be a different kind of research; or research on Climate Change, which they almost certainly wouldn't intentionally do on their own planet if they understood it. However they could conceivably gone through similar problems with Climate Change on their own planet and done some research without initially intending to, which is what is now presumably going on now with the research on Climate Change. However if we were responding to it in a rational manner the establishment would have already taken much more drastic measures to reverse it, assuming they were rational. If they're trying to allow it to continue, at least long enough to serve the purposes of a specific experiment then they might might need an excuse to avoid addressing the problem.

The current establishment is acting in an insane manner that is destroying the planet with little or no sincere attempt to reverse it. This seems to be because of ideological fanaticism, and for many people it almost certainly is; however there should be many more well educated people doing a much better job trying to raise the alarm. However instead the entire political and media establishment is trying to convince the public to go along with and ideology about expanding the economy with no limit. this is obviously flawed; and unless the most powerful politicians are suicidal they should be taking this much more seriously instead of just pretending either that it isn't a problem at all or they can get bu=y with minor changes.

This sounds insane.

It is insane.

However even if this hypothesis isn't true there are an enormous amount of things happening that are just as insane like the media and political establishment providing the coverage that enables Donald Trump to get the Republican nomination and trying to rig it so that Hillary Clinton gets the Democratic nomination and we have no choice but to go for lesser of two evils who won't try to do much if anything or go for a seemingly impossible option with either Bernie Sanders or Jill Stein, since the media refuses to cover the majority of rational candidates for any given office.

the political establishment has demonstrated that they know how to do a much better job manipulating the public without driving them to absurd extremes; yet they're doing it anyway. The current political campaign is as absurd and insane as any fringe conspiracy theory.

A conspiracy theory that explains this would have to be huge!

This one is. However it would be foolish to pursue a course of action that would only work if it were true. A political reform movement that brings in better education reverses economic inequality and reverses the enormous amount of environmental destruction would be rational whether this is true or not.

What our current political leadership is doing is insane whether this hypothesis is true or not.

Also whether this far-fetched hypothesis is true or not we're pursuing an insane course of action with the agenda set by the political establishment based on hard facts that aren't so speculative; but those in power don't seem willing to acknowledge it.

Also, if we described the rapid development of genetically modified organisms possible manipulation of DNA, advanced computer technology and weapons technology to skeptics decades ago they would have considered it science fiction or fringe conspiracy theories. However it is now science fact. Could we really develop all this technology this fast without reverse engineering from alien technology or perhaps a direct line of communication?

If Philip Corso did share some form of alien technology with corporations, as I mentioned in UFO Hypothesis with rational use of Occam's Razor then it would mean that the GMO research being done by Monsanto would be with the help of knowledge they received directly or indirectly from aliens. It would also mean that advanced weapons and aircraft technology being developed may also be with the help of alien technology. Whether this technology was developed with alien technology or not it is being used to maintain a permanent state of war very much like the wars fought for religious reasons for thousands of years.

This seems farfetched and reasonable skepticism is advisable; however if current explanations either by religious people that portray the Biblical version of "God" as benevolent continue ignoring the atrocities he allegedly commits in the Bible and the negligence he commits by refusing to advise against religious war; and the skeptics continue to pretend unsolved mysteries like how the ancient megaliths were moved and other mysteries mentioned either in this article or elsewhere don't exist; then it would be appropriate to consider different theories that do address the flaws in existing beliefs including this one.

Whether you consider this hypothesis rational or not it is hard to believe that a "God" that allegedly says (Exodus 31:14) "You will keep the Sabbath, then; you will regard it as holy. Anyone who profanes it will be put to death; anyone who does any work on that day will be outlawed from his people," should be considered a reliable source of morality.

People relying on traditional media could have easily missed it but two federal law enforcement officers went on killing sprees in the last five weeks.

One of them was the shooting spree last week in Maryland which got plenty of coverage but the vast majority of the stories I saw on national TV didn't mention that it was a Homeland Security Officer that only recently was put on administrative leave for domestic violence complaints that has been going on for over a decade. The other one was a former FBI agent involved in a murder suicide in Texas last month. Most reports of this one didn't disclose he was a former police officer, saying that it wasn't their policy to disclose names of shooting victims and perpetrators.

I've looked at a lot of reports about both police shootings and veteran shootings including many base shootings and few if any of them claimed this was their policies; however this base ah another incident three years ago, listed below, which still hasn't disclosed the people involved, that I could find on the internet.

When ever there is a police or veteran shooting there are always people trying to defend against efforts to make it seem as if all police or veterans are damaged goods, and that it is only a small minority of them that go on killing sprees; and this is true. However there are far more that the media is letting on and there appear to be statistics and additional research that indicate that both military veterans and police are more prone to violence than the general public and have greater problems with domestic violence. I have gone into this in several previous posts listed below.

Also, the media and political establishment also fail to cover the best research about preventing violence from escalating early by recognizing and preventing the root causes of violence. One of the most important root causes of violence is child abuse or corporal punishment which teaches children to deal with their problems through violence. It also teaches children to go along with the crowd even when it is racist or supporting wars based on lies. This often escalates in military or police academies where cadets are hazed as part of a process to teach them to blindly obey orders without question.

Not all police trainers agree with this, including David Couper former police chief of Madison Wisconsin, who recommends different methods; however, in some cases this is almost certainly a major contributing cause why some veterans or police officers become more violent. More about this below as well.

One thing that everyone should agree on is that if preventing the root causes of violence protects police, their families and the general public more effectively in the long run then much more should be done to do this.

As I've said in previous posts some of the people doing the most to reduce police or veteran violence are other police or veterans, or their families. In many cases when police or veterans become violent the victims are often other police or veterans and their families.

The incident last week clearly indicates that Eulalio “Leo” Tordil became overly obsessed with military training even at home with his own wife and children as indicated in the following article:





The following two articles, especially the second also seems to imply that the military hazing of recruits which was "a little bit of a shame culture" almost certainly contributed to a potentially violence environment:



The same base also had a domestic shooting incident about three years ago according to, Army captain shot, wounded on Fort Sam Houston 06/11/2013 this one was the first shooting incident this base had in twenty years since another hostage incident took place when an employee took a supervisor hostage; but there have been plenty of other shooting incidents in bases around the country. As I said above this base doesn't seem to be slow releasing the information about either of these incidents, but most other bases don't seem to do this although they report each incident as an isolated one and rarely report on more than a handful of them so the majority of the public never realizes how common these incidents are.

An internet search at any given time often turns up more incidents which could quickly turn into long lists; after just looking at the first page of a Google search for "police officer arrested on duty" I found at least two more recent incidents by police which probably should receive a lot more attention, DC Cop Arrested After Allegedly Assaulting Civilian In Bizarre Road Rage Incident 04/22/2016 Off-Duty Officer Shot, Arrested After Firing At Deputies In Bel Air 04/21/2016. Variations of this search would almost certainly turn up many more incidents that don't get much attention, which is how I compiled some of the lists in articles cited below, and there are always a lot more.

One of the rare occasions where they do report more than two or three of these incidents at a time is, A History of Shootings at Military Installations in the U.S. 07/16/2015, which lists twenty shooting incidents at military bases going back to 1994, but seventeen of them were between 2008 and 2015, and there are many more that they don't cover.

I compiled long list of additional incidents where both police and veterans went on additional shooting sprees in A Brief History of Cops Convicted of Murder and Teach a soldier to kill and he just might. Most of these weren't on military bases but I'm sure that given time to organize them they will turn out many more than the twenty listed in the previous article by traditional media. I also went into some of the contributing causes for these shootings in these articles. A couple of the highest profile killing sprees that were both police and veterans were Manuel Pardo and Christopher Jordan Dorner.

More important than the lack of reporting on how common this is by the traditional media and the political establishment is their refusal to adequately address the best research on how to prevent these incidents by addressing the root causes. Contrary to the impression the media gives the public we do have adequate information on how to dramatically reduce, and possibly, eventually eliminate these incidents. One of the contributing causes of police shootings is almost certainly their training according to Hazing and Bullying in the Police Academy by David Couper, former police chief of Madison Wisconsin, which has had below average murder rates for quite a while especially compared to Milwaukee which is where David Clarke is sheriff and he uses a much more authoritarian manner to police and has higher rates, typically three to six times higher than Madison.

However police training isn't the only contributing cause for violence or even close but there is plenty of research on all the other contributing causes but the media and political establishment refuses to discus most of them either. In most cases the most effective way to reduce crime is to address the long term contributing causes before incidents escalate. The vast majority of reporting about how to prevent shooting incidents in the media focuses on one or two possible contributing causes. One of the causes that receives the most coverage is gun control which never leads to any action and it is almost certainly not the most important issue or even close, although there is a clear correlation between lax gun control laws and higher murder rates, and a much bigger difference when it comes to suicides.

Last year I did a series of over half a dozen reviews of various contributing causes to crime, listed below; the most important long term contributing cause of escalating violence is almost certainly child abuse and corporal punishment leading to escalating violence later in life as I explained in, Ignored evidence linking corporal punishment, poverty and crime grows and numerous additional articles about this subject. In most, if not all cases, when researchers look into the past of violent felons they find that they've come from abusive childhoods where their parents, or other caretakers, often abused them, which taught them to use violence to solve their problems. Dorothy Otnow Lewis did an enormous amount of research into killers in prison and claimed that she found evidence of early abuse in every single incident, when she took the time to do enough investigation. However most researchers don't seem to be willing to look to deep and often assume that since they didn't find anything it must not be their, often even dismissing claims from defendants as biased and unreliable. Dorthy Otnow Lewis didn't rely solely on claims from defendants and even found they often denied the abuse. Instead she often found police and hospital records or other additional independent sources to support her research.

Additional contributing causes that the media inadequately reports on include poverty education, gambling, religion, gun control, income inequality, the death penalty, even life insurance, union busting and political affiliation. Republicans usually claim to be the toughest on crime but the states with the highest murder rates are controlled by Republicans, and the Democrats often try to copy the hard on crime policies of the Republicans. the areas with the lowest murder rates are often the ones with the most active grassroots efforts to recognize the best research and ensure that their elected officials don't push policies that have routinely proven to fail. My previous reviews of these contributing causes are listed below.

The states with the highest murder rates rely heavily on corporal punishment to raise their children and often fall for appeals to emotions that lead them to pursue policies that have been proven not to work by enormous amounts of evidence, including the death penalty, instead of efforts to reduce crime by reducing poverty improving education and addressing other necessary social needs.

A major part of the reason why the political establishment doesn't address many of these problems is because they're making an enormous amount of profit off of many of them. The media sells an enormous number of ads for both gambling and insurance and politicians collect campaign contributions from both of them so they have incentive to avoid discussing how they both lead to higher crime rates, including murder. The same goes for poverty and income inequality or inadequate education.

The political establishment is far more interested in control than they are in minimizing crime or war. Both of these enable them to use fear to scare the public and enable them to get the votes they need to promote policies that simply don't work.

The hazing and military indoctrination is part of that control efforts and it also leads to escalating violence. This leads to many incidents which some veterans like Chris Kyle often write about in their memoirs that don't fit the propaganda about many veterans by the media at all. He often admits that they get in lots of fights and even that the military and police often go easier on them than civilians. When it comes to military discipline they're often more concerned when potential challenges to authority take place like when West Point Cadets At Center Of Storm After Raising Fists In Photo 05/09/2016



Amazingly there appear to be an enormous amount of outrage over this incidents from people responding to this in Nice. Black Female West Point Cadets Raise Black Power Fist for Graduate Photo 05/07/2016. Aren't minorities included among those that our military is supposed to be protecting? The military doesn't protect us from massive economic inequality or pollution or many other problems; instead boot camp indoctrination often teaches people to blindly obey orders instead of addressing the root causes of violence, so instead of protecting people the military and police often do the opposite of what they're intended to do.

It's fairly well known that Hillary Clinton supported the Iraq War when it counted; but later said it was a mistake.

Her mistake costed an enormous number of lives.

Well informed members of the public could have, and did,  recognize the propaganda the media and Bush administration was based on lies without inside information that clearly should have been available to members of Congress.

For some reason she's still considered experienced at foreign policy because of her record as Secretary of State; however what isn't reported as widely by the traditional media is that her experience is one disaster after another, following a pattern of behavior established by many other war mongers including Henry Kissinger and Dick Cheney who have both complimented her on her record, which is almost as bad as theirs.

She has supported disastrous policies in Libya, Syria, Haiti, Honduras and many other places.

She has an incredibly long history of making atrocious decisions which the media only reports briefly before forgetting it and reporting positive propaganda about how much experience she has over and over again.

The people that pay the price for it tend to be the poorest people around the world and the veterans who sacrifice their lives or get abandoned once they come home, despite an enormous amount of propaganda glorifying them.

The following New York Times article describes just one of her disastrous decisions about Libya followed by more about Syria, Honduras, Haiti and more:



Just a few years earlier Hillary Clinton met with Qaddafi's son, Mutassim Gaddafi as part of the resumed diplomatic relations from several years earlier; however once they faced opposition it didn't take her long to turn against him and laugh at his death.



There could be a good argument why we have to try to get along with tyrants from time to time but Hillary Clinton was amazingly callous about it treating his death along with his father's as a joke when she said, "We came, we saw, he died," laughing as if foreign policy was a joke. This is especially outrageous when considering that it turned into a terrorist haven that contributed to the deaths of many people including four American's at the embassy, which should be considered a serious problem even if Republican's treat it like a political issue for their own gain. The truth is that both parties have an incredibly long history of fighting one war after another based on lies and selling weapons to many people around the world including an enormous amount that eventually get turned against us maintaining a permanent state of war.



Her record in Syria wasn't any better as indicated in the following article about it demonstrating her hypocrisy taking credit for a ceasefire she opposed before they attempted to implement it; perhaps if she did try to implement it as she claims it might have had a better chance:



Her hypocritical attempts to deny blame also became clear in her record in Honduras. According to Hillary Clinton sold out Honduras: Lanny Davis, corporate cash, and the real story about the death of a Latin American democracy, 06/08/2015, the State Department was more concerned about maintaining relations with the new government and even seemed to support them preventing the democratic government from being returned to power. According to Democracy Now, Before Her Assassination, Berta Cáceres, a Honduran environmental activist, Singled Out Hillary Clinton for Backing Honduran Coup. 03/11/2016 she later denied this but a close look at the record raises major doubts about it; unfortunately the traditional media doesn't take this look.



To make this even worse the refugees from the Honduran coup were among those Unaccompanied Minors Hillary Clinton said 'Should Be Sent Back' (06/18/2014). This was hardly reported at all when she was campaigning in Nevada and took a little girl in her lap and told her she would worry about preventing her parents from being sent back to their country.

I have no doubt that well informed immigrants were shocked by this incredibly obvious hypocrisy; however she's clearly relying on complacent people and media propaganda presenting her as the inevitable nominee; and she's still having a lot of trouble locking up what should be an easily rigged nomination.



Haiti was another one of her hypocritical claims for foreign policy success stories but according to the New York Times story, High Hopes for Hillary Clinton, Then Disappointment in Haiti, 03/14/2016, it was actually another one of her disasters. They report, '“You see all these people here?” said one of the Haitian-flag-draped protesters, Jean Renold Cenatus, 32, who said he was unemployed. “It’s because of what Mrs. Clinton did five years ago that we are facing this situation.”'

This was just part of the problems with her claims with Haiti; in addition to this she supported their president who didn't hold election when promised allegedly collected enormous amounts of money for them through their charitable organization, the Clinton Foundation, but most of it didn't get through to the people, leaving them desperate after the media stopped paying attention, and much more.

Why is she getting so much credit for her "experience" with this outrageous record? Presumably because the majority of the public simply doesn't research foreign policy very well and the media only reports the most important details very briefly and repeats positive propaganda over and over again.

An enormous percentage of the public often seems baffled about why so many people around the world "hate us," or at least that is the impression the political establishment often gives us. However the vast majority of the people around the world probably doesn't "hate us" at all, or at least not the majority of us; however they do hate it when our government bombs people all over the world based on lies and uses their clout to support tyrants and corrupt governments around the world that oppress their own people, often for the benefit of multinational corporations that donate to political campaigns and profit off of disastrous foreign policies.

If we were being bombed or treated like them by a foreign government we would hate it too; and when we portrayed ourselves as victims it is routinely used as justification for oppressive actions overseas that they hate.

The amazing double standard would be obvious if more people checked the details.



Amazingly, when it comes to foreign policy both parties are often almost identical, especially the politicians that have the most "experience" and a couple of the most bitter rivals of the democratic party, Henry Kissinger and Dick Cheney, have spoken highly of Hillary Clinton's outrageous foreign policy "experience." Hillary Clinton once wrote, "Kissinger is a friend and I relied on his council when I served as Secretary of State;"(Hillary Clinton’s Ties to Henry Kissinger Come Back to Haunt Her 02/12/2016); and Dick Cheney once said, "I have a sense that she's one of the more competent members of the current administration and it would be interesting to speculate about how she might perform were she to be president,"(Dick Cheney heaps praise on Hillary Clinton 09/05/2011) These are a couple of the most outrageous war criminals that supported numerous wars and coups based on lies over the decades.

This is the candidate we're supposed to be the more rational compared to Donald Trump who is a "loose Cannon?" It is often hard to tell but "loose cannons" seem to be standard operating procedure for those that control foreign policies; however some do a better job arranging for propaganda to make them appear more rational or "experienced."

Both Bernie Sanders and Jill Stein are far more rational when it comes to foreign policy; but the entire political and media establishment portrays rogue actions as rational and refuses to give adequate coverage to more rational views and how they could do much more to avoid foreign policy disasters.







These are just a handful of the problems with her "experience" in foreign policy. There is much more, including stories about these countries and many more, which are almost all disastrous if the details are examined. Like other members of the political establishment and media she's far more concerned about the profits and benefits for those with political connections than the safety of the vast majority of the people around the world, including people at home who might be targeted with retaliation for her atrocities abroad, as indicated in the following articles, among others:

Donald Trump and some of his right wing allies may be as corrupt as Hillary Clinton but that doesn't mean they're wrong when they call her "Crooked Hillary."

They may be exaggerating some of them, or in some cases making things up, but in most cases after checking facts there are enormous problems with her and her friends and it is clear that even if a few aren't true or are being exaggerated there are plenty that are and she is incredibly crooked and so are some of the people she associates with including some that are now being sent to prison or that have been previously in prison for white collar crime.

I can only cover a fraction of her corruption here including Travel-Gate, White-Water, connections to Sheldon Silver and so many more, since there's so much that hardly anyone can possibly remember them all; and there are as many problems with Donald Trump and many of his allies as well.

Perhaps the bigger problem is why the entire political and media establishment has been giving her the coverage she needs to win or rig the election even though she's an incredibly flawed candidate. Donald Trump is as bad but they gave him obsessive coverage portraying him as an outsider even though he obviously isn't, otherwise he wouldn't have gotten the coverage he needs to become so well known and popular.

There are plenty of potential candidates that don't have all these problems but the traditional media refuses to cover them so that they might have a chance.

The reason we may have two incredibly corrupt candidates that have record breaking negative polling isn't a major unsolved mystery as the media seems to imply.

It's because they refuse to cover candidates that don't collect enormous amounts of money from corporations including the six conglomerates that control the media.

The only exception is when a rare candidate like Bernie Sanders or Jill Stein gets so much grassroots coverage that they can't avoid providing some coverage without being too obvious about their attempts to rig elections. Actually they are too obvious anyway to anyone paying enough attention; but they seem to be relying on complacent people to get away with it.

A recent article A brief guide to Clinton scandals from Travelgate to Emailgate 05/17/2016 reminds people of over a dozen of the past scandals that the Clinton's have been involved in and it is almost certainly only a small fraction of the total which would take weeks if not months to research, and would probably still be incomplete.

There are so many that it is impossible to keep track of, which makes it surprising that she boasted about people not being able to "name one example where donations changed her vote," ignoring the widely known fact that most so-called "Quid Quo Pro's" aren't quite so obvious; however when she helped stop a bankruptcy reform bill as first lady, then took enormous amounts of money from the banking industry as Senator she voted for virtually the same bill, as Elizabeth Warren pointed out in her book "The Two Income Trap" and several interviews while promoting it over ten years ago.



A couple that are only slightly less obvious include Clinton Foundation Donors Got Weapons Deals From Hillary Clinton's State Department 05/26/2015 and Hillary Helps a Bank—and Then It Funnels Millions to the Clintons, 07/31/2015

Of course, these are only a few of many examples although most of them don't seem quite so clear cut. However she clearly favors the views of her donors on one issue after another often supporting one position while running for office and another, that benefits her campaign contributors while in office. On just about every issue including NAFTA, TPP, the Keystone pipeline and even CAFTA, which she bragged about voting against, she was on the opposite side when in power. She may have voted against CAFTA but E-mails showed that she lobbied for it and only changed positions when she realized that it wasn't going to win any way and she didn't want the blame for a losing position. The same went for the TPP and Keystone pipeline which she hedged on for a long time after lobbying in favor, but then reversed herself when it was clear the the public wasn't going to vote for her if she supported them.

Ironically Obama campaigned as the more progressive of the two when he ran in 2008 and she had a record that indicated that he probably was; but then after getting in office he also flipped with her help as ?Secretary of State and on at least one occasion she and one of her supporters argued that she only favored the TPP because she was working for him and had to be loyal, ignoring the fact that she supported trade agreements even more than him during the previous campaign.



Her support of Wall Street corruption including Sheldon Silver and many other lobbyists and politicians is just the beginning. Corruption also clearly runs in the family; keeping children off limits including her daughter in the 1990s is reasonable but now she's an adult and married to a son of a felon convicted of white collar crime according to Chelsea Clinton’s ‘father-in-law’ lives down criminal past 07/29/2010 and her husband seems to be following in his fathers foots steps using her mothers connections while working at the State House to increase profits according to Clinton intervened to benefit son-in-law while at State. 12/09/2015 When children become adults and start participating in epidemic levels of corruption then it is no longer inappropriate to keep them off limits especially when her daughter is now campaigning for her and often lying while doing so like when she said that Bernie Sanders wanted to take away the Affordable Care Act, without mentioning that he clearly didn't want to do any such thing without replacing it with a much more efficient Single Payer system, which isn't written by insurance companies. And now her husband is losing enormous amounts of money for his clients according to Marc Mezvinsky: Clinton Son-In-Law Loses 90 Percent For Clients, Closes Hedge Fund; 05/11/2016 but to the best of my knowledge he's not taking the loses himself.

We're supposed to believe she's going to stand up to hedge fund managers, including her own son in law and many others who have donated to her campaign when she's done no such thing in the past, instead doing the opposite.



She's also closely connected to an enormous amount of corruption in New York, although the media somehow manages to avoid blaming her for much if any of it. This includes investigations into her political allies Sheldon Silver, Bill de Blasio, Andrew Cuomo, and more including several others in addition to Silver that were sentenced to prison, some of which was described in the following article:



As I explained in Can Hillary Clinton win without cheating? New York is one of eighteen states with voting irregularities that haven't been explained and almost certainly helped her get her enormous lead, although the rigged media coverage should have done the trick without the need for cheating; but her record is so bad that it doesn't seem to have done the trick. An article written before the primary, Hillary Clinton urges New York state Democrats to aid in decisive primary victory, 04/04/2016 should raise additional questions about whether she used her political connections to win by large margins when she needed a win on several occasions including the New York Primary which had some of the most extensive voter suppression which was quickly forgotten by traditional media.

Her political corruption extends to many of her allies beyond New York or Arkansas of course including Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe who is under federal investigation for campaign contributions 05/24/2016 and this investigation is also related to the Clinton Foundation. Ironically Terry McAuliffe Took $25,000 From Donald Trump 05/2/2016 which means that both corrupt establishment candidates may be connected to this scandal.

Now not surprisingly Donald Trump is bringing back some of her previous scandals including her alleged attempts to intimidate several of the women that accused her husband of misconduct or even rape. Contrary to what Clinton supporters have claimed this has not been proven false although many of the allegations haven't been confirmed either. However some of them have been confirmed including of course Monica Lewinski and Paula Jones, indicating that a candidate that says women should be believed when they make accusations can't hold the high ground while claiming the opposite when it comes to her husband.

Another incident which has almost certainly been exaggerated that Donald Trump is bringing back up again is Vince Foster's suicide which contrary to the most extreme conspiracy theories is almost certainly not a murder; however there was some evidence to indicate that files were also allegedly removed from Foster's White House office before investigators were able to secure it as part of the official probe into his death. This isn't conclusive either but another one of the past scandals that was mentioned is the alleged drug running out of Mena Airport which Bill Clinton may have known about.

There is almost certainly more to this than the majority of the public know about and some in depth research may confirm it, although it will take time to sort through it. However some of the strongest evidence includes the Kerry Committee report which was a government investigation headed by John Kerry. the strongest evidence tying Bill Clinton to the drug running operations with at least tacit support from the CIA is probably evidence described by Terry Reed in "Compromised" where he discloses his activities with the CIA and how they included drug running some of which took place at Mena Airport, and he provides testimony indicating that Bill Clinton knew about it and that he met him.

Terry Reed's book is mostly personal experience but he does provide some documentary back up and there are plenty of additional whistle blowers and researchers that have confirmed that the CIA has been involved in drug running or at least looking the other way when their allies did it for causes they supported including the Nicaraguan Contras. Gary Webb author of "Dark Alliance" is one of the most extensive researchers providing enormous evidence including the Kerry Report and lots of other testimony that was in a court of law and compiling research done by many other reporters.

When he reported this attempts to discredit him were extensive often smearing his character; however they avoided research into his sources which he cited to back up his claims. This is clearly not an appropriate way to discredit a story if it is false but effective if they want to make it appear false. Alfred McCoy author of "The Politics of Heroin" also did a lot of good research into this subject and Celerino Castillo author of "Powderburns" is a former DEA agent who also blew the whistle on these operations and there are many more, although most of them don't get much if any attention in the traditional press.



No doubt there will be plenty of people that would be skeptical of claims about the CIA running drugs, especially if they rely on traditional media, which treats this like a fringe conspiracy theory; however those that take the time to sort through some of the research might conclude that although some of this does include misinformation, which shouldn't be surprising considering the subject matter and sources researchers have to deal with there is an enormous amount of evidence to indicate that a lot of it is clearly true. However even if many people are still skeptical I have provided a long list of their other corrupt activities from reliable sources, including collecting an enormous amount of money from media corporations and other industries for the Clinton Foundation in a previous article, Why would anyone consider Hillary Clinton if they knew this? the list of corrupt activities they've been involved in is so long that it's hard to imagine how anyone can keep track of it all.

Ironically Hillary Clinton could have pointed out that Donald Trump is as corrupt as her recently but instead ridiculed him for not making enough money in the Casino business when she said, "I mean, ask yourself, how can anybody lose money running a casino? Really." She could have easily pointed out that his Casino business is as corrupt as Trump University, actually corruption is one of the core principles for the Casino and organized gambling industries. If an organized gambling industry doesn't rig the odds in their own favor they can't cover their expenses let alone make a profit. Unfortunate it isn't politically correct to mention the basic principles of gambling in politics as I pointed out in The tragedy of gambling politics in United States. Hillary Clinton may not want to point this out anymore than most politicians since she also want to get in on the scam when it suits her purposes and there's no political gain in informing the victims of organized gambling institutions that they're being scammed.

If the media wasn't as corrupt as Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump then they would have done a much better job covering the issues and there would be no doubt that other candidates, which they refuse to give fair coverage to, including Bernie Sanders and Jill Stein, and probably many more that would be available if they could get coverage, are far more qualified to be president and Trump and Clinton would have been forced to drop out long ago due to lack of support.

Unfortunately that isn't the case, and the media gives corrupt candidates an enormous advantage by giving them obsessive coverage and the best candidates only get fair coverage in alternative media outlets for now. This could change if we get media refome enabling diverse coverage and election reform enabling the public to control the interview process.

It seems to be too much to hope for that Walmart would go a full month without any shootings and they didn't but they seem to have come as close this month as they have in a long time with only a handful of high profile shootings; however they still had at least one officer involved shooting of someone waving a gun. He was only injured and taken into custody. There was at least one death for an unrelated event and an evacuation as a result of panic caused by an attempted robbery.

They seem to have had their share of carjackings or attempted kidnappings, though; there were at least three of them. They also had at least a couple of car chases and in addition to the usual number of bomb threats they found explosives at one Walmart, which is unusual; most of the bomb threats are bluffs; and they arrested a suspect in one of the few bombs that actually went off at Walmart about nine years ago. There were at least two police departments that reported their high crime problems in the media. these reports are rare, although the high crime problems seem to be well known by police departments; but when one department come out with public reports it isn't uncommon for at least one other to report similar incidents in their area.

They had a high number of recalls at Walmart this month, including of frozen vegetables, snack bars and rice that may have carried Listeria which has been breaking out repeatedly over the past few years; electric kettles, and pacifiers that might cause a choking hazard.

They also had several problems with bathroom complaints including at least one one that is about someone who was mistakenly considered a transsexual and a father that brought a little girl into the mens room and angered someone who didn't like it. Walmart was asked repeatedly for a policy about how to handle this but refused to provide one. They don't often encourage reasonable discretion; instead setting policies that are made in the corporate office by people unaware of how they're often implemented.

Another report has exposed labor abuses indicating that little has changed since the collapse of a couple of the sweatshops they buy from killed hundreds a couple of years ago; this shouldn't be surprising since the entire political system is constantly trying to sweep these incidents back under the rug every time they get reported. One of their suppliers is involved in another lawsuit and one of their milk plants is getting more tax payer subsidies with little informed scrutiny from the public. They have more prepaid cards that don't work and skimmers have been turning up at many of their registers gathering customer information from any one that uses their cards at them.

Just because shootings are down, for now anyway, doesn't mean that other crimes are down, including petty thefts that result in knifes or tasers being pulled out or even used; and an assault on a police officer by a drunken customer that refused to leave.

They also had an incident where a women arbitrarily seems to have attacked five or six people starting with a six year old whose tooth she knocked out. There must be more to this story like many others but preliminary media reports are rarely complete and they practically never try to understand and prevent long term causes to their high crime problems.

Due to budget cuts, bureaucracy or confusion they even sent a wounded man to Walmart instead of the emergency room on one occasion. I hope there's more to that story as well.

Strange things happen at Wal-Mart!

In 2006 Wake Up Wal-Mart did a study, "Is Wal-Mart Safe?" based on incidents in 2004, (PDF) about crime at Wal-Mart which showed that it increased when Wal-Marts opened up and that crime was higher at Wal-Mart than at other retailers. Since then Wal-Mart Shootings began compiling a list of gun related incidents at Wal-Mart and demonstrated that they have a large number of them, including on average more than one shooting per week somewhere in the country. In January of 2014 another study, "Rolling Back Prices and Raising Crime Rates?" provided additional statistical research indicating that Wal-Mart might be contributing to higher crime rates or at least a slowing of the decline in crime. The study found that. “on average, communities with Walmarts had 17 more property crimes and two more violent crimes per 10,000 people than those communities without Walmarts.” I reviewed this more in Wal-Mart’s crime problem, Rolling Back Safety more than prices? where I explained that although this study is helpful they could have done better with additional data that is available and I reviewed some of that. I also added my own review about why I think that Wal-Mart policies have been contributing to higher crime in a previous blog, Wal-Mart high crime rate continues un-investigaterd and have provided additional information under the author tag Walmart Crime Watch.

Stacy Mitchell has also compiled a list of other studies about Wal-Mart and how they impact society, Key Studies on Big-Box Retail & Independent Business. To the best of my knowledge Wal-Mart has done as little as they seem to get away with, often relying on rhetoric that isn't backed up with action, when it comes to addressing any of their critics concerns, including crime. The following are a list of incidents that occurred in May 2016. According to the "Is Wal-Mart Safe?" the average store in their sampling had 250 incidents per year, indicating that these are only a fraction of the crime reports at Wal-Mart, and presumably, the ones most likely to make the news on the internet nationwide. This isn't statistically representative, as the 2006 or the "Rolling Back Prices and Raising Crime Rates?" study or some of the studies cited by Stacy Mitchell; but it does provide some additional information that may help recognize how many problems there are at Wal-Mart.

After trying this with over a dozen drugs, including a few drugs so common that you wouldn't expect any problem with them, it appears as if most if not all drugs have been involved in one lawsuit of another; and many drug of food companies like Monsanto are constantly involved in one lawsuit after another. Yet most of them aren't mentioned often if at all in the traditional media; and there is no effort to inform the public that there are massive numbers of lawsuits going on at any given time for drugs that are supposedly safe and approved by the FDA.

As I explained previously in Human Research Subjects research isn't limited to what they refer to as "clinical research trials" which go through ethical reviews that supposedly ensure the the best interest of the public is protected. They also do a lot of research into things that take place under different circumstances through natural events even if they aren't intended as research projects.

In many cases they're able to research things that could never pass any ethical guidelines this way but circumstances in the political world create one opportunity after another to study things that probably should never be allowed to happen. The Flint Michigan Water crisis is one of the most obvious examples of that. They already had enough research to indicate that lead was poisonous so they should have known that this wouldn't be a rational idea but this provided them additional opportunities to research the details, and perhaps additional contributing causes and sort out the differences. This doesn't mean that it is why they allowed poor people to be poisoned for the sake of research; that is unlikely. However it provided an opportunity to do additional research even though that wasn't the intention of those involved.

There are plenty of other opportunities for additional research, with FDA approval or not, including some that might be financed by industries that might have an incentive to misrepresent the results like Daily low-dose aspirin could cut risk of certain cancers 03/03/2016 although unless the media establishment and political regulatory system discloses the source of financing the majority of the public wouldn't be able to find out if there is a conflict of interest selectively doing research that could increase profits for aspirin manufacturers. This may be a reasonable risk in many cases to research that enables medical science to continue to advance; however with rapid advancements in research most people have little or no choice but to rely on "experts" without realizing that many of these "experts" might have financial incentives to highlight research that enables them to sell one drug more than another or instead of no drugs at all. A large number of these researchers often get more financing if they do research for things that have a greater potential for increasing profits.

In the current political economic and academic environment the top priority for most research establishments isn't the best interest of the majority of the public at all.

It is the highest profits for multinational corporations.

Occasionally people who're more concerned about the damage bad research might do to the public get the courage to speak out but unfortunately when this happens they often don't get a chance to get their views across to the public thanks to the influence of powerful industries.

A few of these people were featured in Dark Side of a Pill including a former salesman who helped the FBI investigate pharmaceutical companies and a variety of lawyers and researchers who provided additional disclosures. They described numerous incidents where there appeared to be evidence indicating that anti-depressants may have accomplished the opposite of what they were intended to often even making nonviolent people violent and even potentially contributing to numerous murders.

At least a couple examples indicated that the courts found that the drugs almost certainly did contribute to some of the killings, in one case even saying that "if it weren't for the drug there wouldn't have been a murder." Another example summarized in the following excerpt demonstrates that they did a research on someone who had been arrest for murder in the Netherlands had been given drugs or placebos several times in jail then set up situations that might antagonize him and found that he was more aggravated when he took the drug than when he took the placebos. Of course industry representatives would argue that some of these studies are biased or flawed, and there's always room for more peer review; but their views are of course also bias or flawed, and most of the critics that raise major doubts about the safety of these drugs don't have financial incentives to oppose them. The pharmaceutical industry might argue they're based on antiscience ideological grounds, or something like that; but many of the critics are academics or researchers that recommend medications under the right circumstances but object when they're being overused.

Another major problem with prescribing antidepressants is that many physicians that prescribe them often aren't taught to look for non medicinal contributing causes of depression that might be solved without drugs. I may not have the medical expertise to personally determine when antidepressants are worth considering some the time but while reviewing causes of escalating violence I have found enough evidence to indicate that the most important contributing cause is almost certainly early child abuse and corporal punishment leading to escalating violence. The same research often indicates that early child abuse also leads to many other problems including increased depression.

I went into the research that proves that early child abuse leads to escalating violence in numerous previous posts including Does child abuse and bullying lead to more violence? and one of the more recent ones is Steven Pinker "Better Angels of Our Nature" ignores most important root causes of violence which explains why I believe that many academic sources including Steven Pinker have either been influenced by ideological beliefs or by financial motivation from well connected people in the academic world that have been influencing research for financially biased reasons.

Steven Pinker and many other academics, especially economists, also support an economic system and many wars that benefit the rich while the rest of us pay the price for it. It is virtually guaranteed that this will also lead to increased depression, including post-traumatic stress for veterans who were indoctrinated through boot camp intimidation tactics to believe what they're told by their leaders. When working people see their wages suppressed while white collar workers from upper classes get much higher pay for jobs like creating deceptive advertising it doesn't take a lot of research to realize this could be a contributing cause to depression.

Yet instead of trying to solve these potential contributing causes for depression the pharmaceutical industry ignores them and tries to promote their medications instead as a solution, which works well for the ideologues that don't want to acknowledge or rectify flawed economic ideologies that enrich some at the expense of the vast majority of the public.

Any one with a little bit of basic sense should understand that when you can solve a psychological problem by finding the root causes and addressing them it is better than relying on potentially harmful drugs including many that haven't been properly tested or that might have risk of side effects. Many of the experts like James Garbarino or Barbara Coloroso that I cited in previous articles about child abuse leading to escalating violence routinely make recommendations that have nothing to do with risky drugs; instead they advise ways to prevent abuse from escalating or leading to depression later in life, or perhaps find ways to avoid stressful situations that are unnecessary.

Research on mind altering drugs is only a fraction of the research done without full knowledge of the majority of the public but evidence for a lot of it can be found by those that recognize the basic characteristics of research, which unfortunately a large percentage of the public isn't taught to understand especially the least educated. Evidence can be found in many non-fiction books about a variety of things including Marion Nestle "Food Politics" 2007 or Maude Barlow and Tony Clarke "Blue Gold" 2002.

In "Blue Gold" Maude Barlow and Tony Clarke describe an enormous amount of research into how polluting water is impacting peoples health and they also describe how the water nanotechnology industry is far more advanced than most people realize is being shielded from government oversight thanks to political connections. They write, "Similar resistance to government oversight is found in the emerging water nanotechnology industry, which is being forced to counter the alarm bells going off within some scientific and environmental communities over free nanoparticles –mobile particles able to separate from the property into which they were introduced and roam freely in nature or the body. There they can find their way into skin, lungs, livers, and kidneys and even break the blood brain barrier."(Maude Barlow - Tony Clarke "Blue Covenant" 2007 p.98-9) This is just one of the examples of research into how water, which is common and safe in nature before industrial pollution or advanced technology, is now being used for the benefit of corporations who are using it for their own benefit with little or no regard for the well being of the majority.

In "Food Politics" Marion Nestle reviews a large number of research done on mostly natural foods and how healthy they are, and she provides much more reliable information than the traditional media which makes and enormous amount of money selling ads to corporations profiting off of unhealthy food. She also reviews a large problem with political influence over regulations and how the media uses psychological manipulation simple or complex to manipulate and mislead the public. One of the most common and simplest method the media has used is propaganda describing the government as the "Food Police" trying to force people to eat healthy. This is most common on right wing TV like the Hannity show. But it is blatantly false; the government rarely ever seriously considers that, except for Michael Bloomberg's absurd attempt to regulate the size of soft drinks. Instead what the government has, at times, tried to do is ensure that people have accurate information to make rational decisions and in most cases they don't even do that thanks to pressure from the food companies.

One of the most blatant examples that Marion Nestle points out is when the cattle industry sued Oprah Winfrey when she informed the public about how red meat could increase the threat of heart disease. This is just one example of corporations trying to use the legal system to corrupt research that she points out and the biggest ones are probably lower profile. They also used their enormous political influence to ensure that dietary supplements weren't subject to government regulations. Marketers of these products aren't required to provide accurate claims, for the most part, unlike other foods or drugs. Only in the most extreme cases do they consider filing legal action against these companies for misleading advertising, which is at an epidemic level. However one of the rare occasions where they did file legal action was against former Governor Bob McDonnell who was sentenced to two years in prison 01/06/2016 although the Supreme Court may let him off the hook, for influence peddling. Both Donald Trump and Ben Carson have also been involved in helping to market dietary supplements with misleading claims but there is no threat of prosecution for them, since it appears to be legal. The bigger problem for them seems to be political since the news of their activities may have impacted their campaigns but their constituents seem to be so poorly educated that they don't seem to care or understand the implications.

If these constituents aren't concerned about Ben Carson believing the pyramids were used for grain storage or that both of them have been involved in enormous scandals including Trump University or running gambling institutions which can't succeed without misleading players who don't seem to understand that organized gambling can't succeed unless they rig the odds overwhelmingly in favor of the house. This is just a small sample of the political connections that politicians have with drug companies, the dietary supplement industry and many other industries that are researching activities or products that could have a major impact on public health without full disclosure or much if any discussion in the traditional media. One of the most extreme and controversial examples is The World According to Monsanto which was exposed by a French author and director who most people in the United States have never even heard of, unless they rely on alternative media outlets that are much more likely to report on this.

The traditional media that control's over ninety percent of the mass media in this country isn't even trying to do a good job reporting on this or many other subjects any more.

This includes a major law suit that Monsanto has recently lost but the traditional media has only provided a token amount of coverage for it, including the following article, which hasn't been widely distributed:



Monsanto may have addressed some of the problems with Round Up, or at least they claim they have, but there are many more which a search of the internet turns up, and they seem to have an enormous amount of protection from government and media which is looking the other way at almost everything they do. The biggest problem they're most widely known for is almost certainly Genetically Modified Organism's which the traditional media almost never discusses but much more information can be found in alternative media outlets which have been reported on a series of laws reducing consumers right to know what is in their food while often claiming the opposite as reported in several articles including Obama's Broken Promise on GMO Food Labeling 10/06/2011 and Americans Will Know Less About GMO Products With New Food Label Law. 07/22/201 Even though tehy get no help from the traditional media or the political establishment grassroots organizations are raising the alarm and organizing people to speak out against it including this petition drive, GMOs should be Properly Labeled! We have the right to know what we are eating!



This is not fringe science, many of the researchers exposing these experiments or deceptive political activity are reliable scientists that have far more credibility that many of the so-called experts that are featured on the mainstream media. Anyone reasonably familiar with academic work who looks that the so-called experts presented by the media on any give subject probably recognizes how flawed their claims often are.

However there have been disclosures about some of the sources for a lot of this advanced research that should be considered with caution, at least until much better peer review and disclosure is provided to the general public.

This includes claims that starting in the late forties after the crash of something, whether it was a weather balloon advanced technology by a traditional government that most people never knew about or an alien craft of some sort, at Roswell New Mexico. All the sources that I know of of these claims ahve some credibility problems but some of the unsolved mysteries surrounding these events haven't been fully explained by the skeptics who often make as many mistakes as the "fringe" believers of one thing or another. The first claim is probably from Bob Lazar who first started claiming that he worked at Area 51 in the eighties but a close look at his record raises major doubts, although he may have gotten some things right, he doesn't seem like a reliable source. The most recent claim that I know of is Video emerges of 'Lockheed Martin scientist' claiming aliens are REAL and that he worked at Area 51 on UFO technology 12/08/2014 which may not be much if any more reliable; but the most reliable source that I know of, even though he also ahs some problems, is Philip Corso, author of The Day After Roswell who claims that he distributed some of the technology retrieved from UFOs and distributed them to numerous corporations including Monsanto Dow Chemical and many others to develop.



In several previous posts about this subject including UFO Hypothesis with rational use of Occam's Razor and Why so few arrests for Crop Circles makers? Is there microwave evidence? I reviewed some of the alleged evidence of UFO activity and found that there were an enormous amount of mistakes from both the high profile believers and skeptics and began to wonder if they're even trying to do a good job on either side.

There is major evidence of unsolved mysteries but most of the explanations, including the traditional supposedly scientific explanations have a lot of mistakes. The most conclusive evidence of a major unsolved mystery is ancient megaliths well over a hundred tons and experiments that didn't succeed above ten to forty tons in moving them with ancient technology or the technology they supposedly were limited to as I reviewed in 107 Wonders of the Ancient World. Additional unsolved mysteries may include Rasputin, Edgar Cayce, Lúcia Santos and the incident at Fatima, Edward Leedskalnin, Padre Pio, José Arigó and Uri Geller, all of which can't be fully explained by skeptics even though the believers in some of the mysteries surrounding these people have flawed theories to explain them. Since there is evidence of numerous major unsolved mysteries, including some that have rock solid evidence it is worth considering different possibilities, at least until corroborating evidence either proving one version or another, or at least conclusively disproving some of them.

This includes ancient aliens theories, even though the highest profile ones as presented on the History Channel have serious credibility problems, as I explained in previous post about Occam's Razor UFO Hypothesis. After looking at many of these mistakes it seems obvious that they should have caught an enormous number of them if they tried, but none of them that I know of disprove the basic claim that some form of interstellar travel is possible possibly using artificial intelligence and long term travel. This might be explained by what I call a "Recruit a group of crackpots" MJ-12 hypothesis.

However with or without help from alien technology there are numerous things that should be clear, but in many cases our government and the media isn't acknowledging them.

With or without alien technology there should be more disclosure about research when people are being used as science subjects; however from a scientific point of view many people that understand it would never accept an enormous amount of this research, which is why it is much more difficult to get willing research subjects with full disclosure.

With or without alien technology it is foolish to pursuer economic political and social beliefs that result in epidemic amounts of environmental destruction that seems to be escalating to a point that might eventually be irrecoverable.

With or without alien technology it is foolish to maintain a permanent state of war especially when there are alternative which can prevent it. These alternatives are available like simply not selling arms to countries around the world when a relatively consistent percentage of them is eventually turned against us. Peace advocates have come up with numerous other suggestions but neither the government or the media is willing to listen or give them any help getting their views to the majority so they can be scrutinized.

With or without alien technology epidemic levels of inequality are unsustainable.

With or without alien technology much more should be done to give the vast majority of the public the information they need to participate in the democratic process, instead of allowing six corporations controlled by a fraction of one percent of the public to control over ninety percent of the media that reaches the majority of the public.

However if some of what Philip Corso said before he dies then an enormous amount of the technological development over the past fifty years is a result of alien technology and they're using us as research subjects as a result of it. If he's wrong then we're still being used as research subjects, just without the alien technology.

In Chapter fifteen Corso writes, "General Trudeau encouraged me to start contacting plastics and ceramics manufacturers, especially Monsanto and Dow, to find out who was doing research on super-tenacity materials, especially at university laboratories. My quick poll paid off. I not only discovered that Monsanto was looking for a way to develop a mass production process for a simulated spider silk, I also learned that they were already working with the army." This clearly indicates that if the government has retrieved some alien technology then Monsanto would be among many corporations using it to develop their products and profiting off of it. It would also mean that it would be necessary to do an enormous amount of research to confirm it even if they have help from aliens, since there would still be some research necessary.

More recent stories have confirmed that Monsanto has been working with the United States Military but not necessarily for the reasons described by Philip Corso. According to Truthout and several other sources US Military and Monsanto are Targeting GMO Activists and Independent Scientists according to a 2013 Investigation, 11/13/2016 and even more disturbing, Monsanto apparently bought an Army of Mercenary Soldiers formerly called Blackwater 05/22/2013

If Corso is right about sharing technology with multinational corporations then an enormous amount of the advanced military technology developed including night vision, precision bombing and much more has been developed with alien technology. This means that instead of using technological research to benefit people they're using as part of a political plan that maintains a permanent state of war.

If Corso didn't share technology with corporations then advanced military technology is still being used to maintain a permanent state of war, just without the alien technology.

We have enough information to know our government is more concerned with controlling the public either way than they are about educating them in the most effective way to stand up for their rights and avoid unnecessary wars. Or at least people who're accustomed to checking alternative media outlets instead of the traditional media have this information; and even those who rely on traditional media might know this if they look close enough and think things through.

This sounds absurd to many people but if there is some truth to it then it could explain the rapid development of technology over the past five or six decades. Our civilization has advanced at a much slower rate for thousands of years if not million; but then after only a few decades it advanced much faster than most people could have imagined including an enormous amount of technology way beyond most peoples comprehension that would have been considered science fiction decades ago including genetic modification, cloning, nanotechnology, and enormous amount of medical technology, advanced computer technology, propulsion that enables automated spacecrafts to reach beyond Pluto, and manned spacecraft to orbit the planet, and much more.

Could all of this really have been developed naturally?

It isn't just fringe people that believe these ideas should be taken seriously although some of the higher profile people that claim it should might not all be sincere. People that think there are major unsolved mysteries worth considering include many top scientists, military people, pilots, police and even politicians and lobbyists.

Even Bill and Hillary Clinton claim they believe there might be something going on; and one of their leading campaign workers, John Podesta, has come out publicly calling for disclosure! When he was part of the Obama transition team there were a lot of people in the UFO research community that thought he might encourage Obama to be the disclosure president.

That didn't happen and perhaps they shouldn't have been surprised. Nor should they be surprised if Hillary Clinton manages to get elected and then quickly forgets about attempts to look any further into it. John Podesta is a founder of the Podesta Group lobbying for many of the biggest multinational corporations in the world including many that would be taking advantage of alien technology, assuming there is some truth to Corso's claims and another one of Hillary Clinton's campaign managers is Jerry Crawford a Monsanto lobbyist.





If Corso's claims are partially true then both Clinton and Podesta and many others have ties to those profiting off of this technology and therefore they have no incentive to come clean. Even if they did presumably they would have already done so but they keep getting caught in one political scams after another; but for some bizarre reason the entire political establishment continues to rig the election for them. Clearly they can't be trusted to disclose anything if they have any choice with or without alien technology.

This may still seem to absurd or insane to be true; however there are other things too absurd or insane to be true.

It's also too absurd for the entire political and media establishment to get behind Hillary Clinton even though they knew that she has a ridiculous number of scandals surrounding her. It is to absurd to believe that the media establishment couldn't help themselves when they gave Donald Trump enormous amounts of air time that enabled him to get the nomination, while refusing to give grassroots candidates any time, and they call this "earned media."

The entire political establishment is to absurd to be true, yet either it is true or there's and equally absurd conspiracy to make it seem true.

There should be no doubt the truth is absurd and insane for one reason or another.



Whether this bizarre conspiracy theory is true or not the establishment politicians that have little or no regard for the best interest of the majority don't think the majority of the public should know when they're eating genetically modified food. Only candidates not favored by the establishment like Bernie Sanders or Jill Stein think the public should have the information they need to make important decisions.





Regardless of what you think of this theory here are plenty more stories about lawsuits over drugs that have had negative effects which have only been reported in a low profile manner; and after searching the internet for them a relatively short time it is fair to say that there are thousands more where these came from which can be found with enough time to search the internet more:

Believe it or not there is an enormous amount of good research that could help explain and prevent the root causes so that shootings like the ones in Orlando and Texas and many others are much less common; but for one reason or another the media refuses to report on it.

They also refuse to cover political candidates that do a much better job addressing these issues, although they have provided more coverage to Bernie Sanders than most grassroots candidates that address social causes that could prevent violence. If the media and political establishment have their way they will only give the public two options for president both of whom think the way to stop violence is to bomb more people in other countries even though the reason they often strike out is in retaliation for these bombings. Not that that is the only contributing cause but it is one of the most important ones.

There isn't just one contributing cause of these violent events and various shootings almost always have multiple contributing causes but there is research on many of the most important ones and the media could do a much better job reporting on them.

If they did then much more could be done to prevent the long term contributing causes of violence.

Instead they go through the same rituals only covering one or two of the contributing causes, usually gun control and mental illness; but they don't even do a good job covering those and they ignore other more important contributing causes.

The most important contributing cause is almost certainly child abuse leading to escalating violence; and another one of the most important contributing causes is that our own government is constantly training people to kill for wars based at least partially on lies or flawed ideological reasons; and they're simultaneously inciting retaliation from the opposition and refusing to seriously consider it as a potential cause for this violence.

I've reported on these in past articles before with extensive sources from peer reviewed researchers for a variety of the contributing causes; so instead of repeating many of these sources I'll cite some of the past articles below.

Apparently we're also having a growing problem where at least three years in a row there was an enormous amount of coverage glorying veterans on Memorial Day while only limited coverage has been provided for at least four shootings taking place during Memorial Day celebration involving veterans with emotional problems that almost certainly involved untreated distress from their military service and there are hundreds if not thousands more similar incidents each year. While the media has been providing an enormous amount of coverage of the Orlando shooting they've hardly provided any coverage for last months shooting in Texas, which turned out to be by a veteran; but while they provided most of the coverage for that this was not reported then when it was reported it was only briefly mentioned on national media, as reported in the following article:



I reported on this same problem last year in Memorial Day Veteran Shootings Part of Much Larger Problem when there were two other memorial day shootings by veterans that hardly got any coverage from the traditional media. To see if it was part of a trend I Googled a little bit to see if there were more in previous years and found another on the year before, Isaac Sims an Iraq Vet Killed In Gunfight With Police Was Turned Away by VA Hospital. 05/27/2014 This search method turned up mostly more recent news even though I tried to Google for past years so there could be many more that could turn up in a more thorough search.

This doesn't necessarily mean that their military experiences or PTSD are the only causes for these shooting sprees; they almost certainly aren't. In most cases there is also a history of abuse that turns up in more thorough investigations if they're done well, to indicate that most if not all these people going on shooting sprees were abused as a child which taught them to deal with problems through violence. Sometimes this evidence comes out fairly quickly like when it was disclosed that Dylann Roof was abused by his own father who may have also taught him racism. He wasn't a veteran but researchers like Dorothy Otnow Lewis have indicated that when she looks close enough she always finds evidence of past abuse from murders that she researchers, although it takes time and the media doesn't do this research for most of them, especially recent ones. She doesn't just rely on claims of abuse from murderers, who often deny being abused; she also seeks additional corroborating evidence like hospital or police records or independent witnesses that don't have a motive to distort the truth.

In many cases additional contributing causes are added when a child who was raised in an authoritarian manner goes to boot camp and is taught to obey orders without question under extreme emotional distress. This is common in both military training and police training or even in training for security workers.

Our government is routinely training many of the people who go on these shooting sprees to be violent instead of teaching about the most effective ways to prevent violence.

Then they blame it on all the wrong reasons.

For example, there appears to be a significant amount of evidence that Omar Mateen almost certainly wasn't inspired by ISIS, even though he allegedly pledged support to them. He also allegedly pledged support to several other organizations who are often at odds with each others, which indicates that he probably isn't as familiar as the media implies with many if any of them; and he was almost certainly using this as a way to strike out for his own emotional problems.

There's also evidence to indicate that he had emotional problems prior to this incident and that he almost certainly shouldn't have been working as a security guard that occasionally did work for the government including at a court house. His first wife reported that he was abusive and the FBI allegedly asked that he be removed from security at a court house while investigating him, and they still kept him working at other locations.

The fact that he might have been a closet homosexual while also hating homosexuals shouldn't be as surprising as most people think; Roy Cohn who was an aid to Joseph McCarthy while he persecuted gays was also gay. He was also a lawyer representing Donald Trump at one point too. As I explained in Cause and Effect of Hatred irrational misplacement of blame like this is often a result of early abuse, although there hasn't been enough investigation into his past yet. It isn't inconceivable that if a small percentage of gay people who were often persecuted by people who thought he might be gay he might have tried to avoid this by becoming homophobic to convince people he wasn't gay. This might be even more common if they were molested as children and couldn't take out their blame on the people that molested them since they're often their caretakers.

The one potentially contributing cause that they do constantly cover is gun control and how it might prevent mass shootings. By spending so much time covering this without covering anything else people might get the impression that implementing gun control might solve all shootings; however this is virtually out of the question since it is almost certainly not the most important contributing factor and it definitely isn't the only one that needs to be addressed. There is a correlation indicating that states with more gun control have lower murder rates but it isn't that big; this shows a much bigger correlation with suicides especially in Alaska and Wyoming, both of which also have high veteran populations.

Even though reasonable gun control correlates with lower murder rates many of these same states also correlate with other contributing causes including the use of corporal punishment in schools which leads to escalating violence. However it doesn't take a genius to realize that if they made it harder to get assault weapons many murders could be prevented from escalating into mass murders.

Rick Scott said that Florida law enforcement was very good at catching people if they go on a shooting spree like this; however this hardly seems like it will be much of a deterrent if the people are suicidal, which appears to be the case in many cases; and Florida is one of the few states that are experiencing rises in murder rates while Most of the country is experiencing declines according to FBI Murder Rates Per 100,000 People by State. The get tough on crime policies that Rick Scott supports clearly don't work at all. State that are most likely to support the death penalty and allow corporal punishment in schools have the highest murder rates while those that don't support either are much more likely to have the lowest murder rates.

States that do a better job providing education, child care, reducing poverty and economic inequality also tend to have the lowest murder rates.

Unfortunately the politicians who support the worst policies often get the most political support from corporations since they enable them to get rich at the expense of the majority; however they also support policies that are much more likely to result in higher murder rates and violent crime. This includes both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton who want to respond to these problems by increasing the amount of bombing that we do to ISIS and people around the world that we can't get along with. They also both support increased arms sales to countries around the world and support tyrants that are allegedly our allies, at least for now.

One thing that should be easy to understand is that they don't like it when our military bombs us anymore than we like it when people strike out in anger, often at least partially in retaliation.

This would be an incredibly easy double standard for anyone who had access to reasonable reporting and is capable of rational thinking.

However our media doesn't provide reasonable reporting and a large percentage is routinely encouraged to make their decisions based on emotions by the media and political operatives that routinely try to incite fear about crime and potential threats of war, that are often based on lies.



Bernie Sanders and Jill Stein both do a much better job supporting policies that would help reduce violent crime; however in most cases they support them for different reasons and don't do as much as they could to educate the public about how they could also help reduce violence. Improving education and reducing economic inequality, among other things, are worth doing on their own but they also reduce the contributing causes of violent crime and more can be done to educate the public about it.



I have provided much more research into many of the most important contributing causes of escalating violence in many of my past posts, and they usually provide sources that did more extensive research which is available to everyone. The following are some of the most important ones which could dramatically reduce violence if more people knew about them:

If there wasn't any conspiracy by the media and major political parties is there any way that the public would have chosen the two most disliked candidates in history, assuming they actually did choose these two?

If the media provided coverage for all candidates including ones running from the grassroots would the majority of the public even consider these two clowns?

The Mass Media, which is controlled by a fraction of one percent of the population, routinely rigs elections by simply refusing to cover grassroots candidates while giving obsession coverage to those that cater to the interests of corporate donors. For all practical purposes, they made it a requirement that candidates collect an enormous amount of money from corporations before the media will call them viable and provide them coverage. They discuss how they make decisions about coverage behind closed doors and don't let people know how large portions of the electoral system work.

That fits the definition of a conspiracy!!

When people have secret discussions about activities about how to manipulate the public that is by definition a conspiracy and it is standard operating procedure!!

What they're doing now goes way beyond the usual conspiracies they use to manipulate the public and it never would have happened if the political establishment didn't do one absurd thing after another that inevitably led to absurd results.

For what it's worth the conclusions I've drawn, so far, don't fit the definition of a conspiracy theory since there's enough public knowledge to draw these conclusions without speculating on things that happen in secret. It doesn't fit the definition of a conspiracy theory until after I speculate about things without adequate information to prove it; and there is adequate information to prove the conclusion they're manipulating the system in secrecy.

Furthermore if the current nominees, who're both involved in so many scandals they should never be taken seriously for presidential candidates, aren't a result of a bizarre conspiracy; then it would be even more absurd than if they are. There should be no surprise that both of them are having even more scandals exposed now that they've been declared the presumptive nominees by the traditional media. Most of these are additional revelations about old scandals; and the media could have done much more to cover them and remind the public about how corrupt both of these nominees are if they wanted to.

Anyone familiar with typical political manipulation tactics might wonder why they can't do a better job picking a candidate that at least appears to be a reasonably good choice and doesn't have the lowest approval ratings since records have been kept. And they have the two worst ones in history at the same time.

They do have good enough political operatives to realize that this would be a disaster.

It doesn't take a genius to suspect something absurd is going on here.

Even before the story, still being ignored by mainstream media, Guccifer 2.0 Leak Reveals How DNC Rigged Primaries for Clinton 06/17/2016, broke it was obvious that the media has been trying to present Hillary Clinton as the presumptive nominee for years, long before anyone had a vote in the primary. They also knew that she was involved in epidemic levels of fraud that date back decades. They had to know that if they provided her with reasonably fair coverage and also provided reasonably fair coverage for at least half a dozen other candidates, like they usually do she wouldn't have a chance. This is what they usually do and it still involves rigging the elections so that grassroots candidates don't have a chance since they ignore them.

But at least it seemed like a reasonable democratic choice to those that didn't think too hard.

They also had to know that if they kept manipulating the emotions of the vast majority of the Republican electorate so they could take advantage of their voting on social issues to impose fiscal policies that would dramatically increase income inequality more and more over the decades even some of these people would start realizing they've been fooled. They have enough research on demagogues that go back to Greek times to realize that they could be fooled by another one like Donald Trump.



They had to know that if they gave Trump insane amounts of free coverage that they were helping him to win the nomination by playing the latest demagogue. They've created enough demagogues of their own and they know that if they put him in a field with incredibly outrageous and incompetent candidates that he could beat them.

This is very similar to what they did to rig the primary for Mitt Romney who was an obvious sacrificial lamb in 2012.

Many of us predicted that if we fell for the same lesser of two evils choice then it would get even worse this year and it has.

This wasn't a paranormal prophecy on our part; it was simple logical deduction.



Amazingly even John Ellis Bush (JEB) claimed that he thought there was a chance that Trump and Clinton could be involved in a conspiracy theory; however the possibility that they're involved in such a straight forward conspiracy is highly unlikely since it would never have a chance if they didn't have help from people like Jeb Bush. In order for Trump to walk away with the nomination the way he did Jeb had to do an incredibly bad job and so did all the other candidates but they had enough advisers to know that they couldn't take such extreme positions, even though the majority of the public was starting to catch on, and still win.

This might not completely rule out a conspiracy to either use Clinton to help elect Trump or use Trump to help elect Clinton; but it would have to be part of a much larger conspiracy since they could do this in a much simpler way by giving their candidate better coverage without making both candidates seem like lunatics. If such a conspiracy is taking place it isn't just to elect the candidate of their choice; but they would want to do it in an incredibly bizarre manner!

Why would they even consider anything so absurd?

Also the claim that Donald Trump is anti-establishment is obviously false. Real anti-establishment never have a chance because they never get any coverage from the media at all. This is routinely explained by saying that he gets an enormous amount of what they've been calling "earned media time" as if they have no control of how they decide who to cover how much. The enormous amount of time that they gave to him wasn't the result of an accident. Their idea of "earned media time" clearly doesn't have anything to do with doing a good job explaining the issues so the public would have information they need to make decisions in their own best interests.

Additional evidence to indicate that he isn't anti-establishment is that his policies aren't different from the traditional Republicans and he is flip flopping as often as other candidates if not more often like traditional establishment candidates. The traditional establishment has been training "anti-establishment" to campaign against the establishment for decades then once they get into office they routinely demonstrate that they were part of the establishment all along.

They've been doing it so often that they have to make their "anti-establishment" seem more extreme and appeal to emotions more in order to make it work, which seems to have been what they're doing.

But it shouldn't take a genius to recognize ahead of time that it is bound to backfire if they take it to too much of an extreme while refusing to take care of basic functions of a functioning society like repairing roads maintaining and reasonable education and health care system and many other basic functions of society.

They have to realize that if they use political manipulation to steal everything they can get their hands on without carrying out basic functions it will backfire; even if they are scaring the majority of the public with threats from terrorists or crime, which are being greatly exaggerated. Even after the Orlando shooting terrorism isn't killing nearly as many people as car accidents, lack of health care or many other things.



That doesn't mean that some of the most common conspiracy theories aren't too absurd, and more important logically flawed, to be true; however many of them aren't anymore absurd than the official truth which is also logically flawed; so simply stereotyping them as an absurd conspiracy theory isn't enough to discredit them. No doubt there will be some seriously flawed ones to sort through before the public can confirm one that is more rational, assuming we do get enough sincere reform to sort through the details and expose the real truth.

Amazingly, intentionally or not, Hillary Clinton, her advisors and the political establishment may have taken actions to make one of the more farfetched conspiracy theories seem real. Religious extremists that call themselves "Fundamentalists" even though they don't start with fundamentals or get them right, have been calling her the “Whore of Babylon” for years if not decades, including this Yahoo discussion from 2007 Could Hillary Clinton become the “Whore of Babylon”? The case he makes would almost certainly not seem rational to most moderate religious or secular people, especially when it was written. But it should be enough to let the establishment know that they shouldn't try to make this absurd case against her seem to have some degree of legitimacy.

A close look at Revelations Chapters 17 and 18 which that discussion recommends probably wouldn't have fit Hillary Clinton's record without a large stretch of the imagination which only religious extremists might be inclined to do.

After her outrageous record as Secretary of State, however it might not seem quite so obviously absurd to some moderate religious or even some secular people, although it still has problems, some of which I'll get to. Even if, as Hillary Clinton supporters must believe, this claim is absurd it is hard to imaging they would want to create more similarities with her and any figure from the book of revelations, yet that might be what they did on the night that she allegedly won the California and New Jersey primaries giving her the delegates that she needed to declare herself the presumptive nominee.

When she made her speech she was dressed in white and they created light effects that seemed to give her an Angelic glow that made her look spectacular; but it was too much and obvious hype too anyone with a minimum amount of familiarity with these types of special effects. However hyping politics and everything else has become standard operating procedure; but this clip, which they played repeatedly in the days after it was more obvious than most.



This clip looked strikingly like Revelations 19;8 "His bride is ready, and she has been able to dress herself in dazzling white linen, because her linen is made of the good deeds of the saints." This seems trivial and if it was the only similarity with Revelations it would be irrelevant, especially since this is actually referring to the bride of the "Lamb" which some people might interpret as Christ, not the Whore of Babylon; however, the "Lamb" is also involved in a lot of violence to defeat those portrayed as evil, using same tactics as the evil ones, and there are a lot of other similarities to the Whore of Babylon as described in Revelations which became much stronger as indicated in the following verses:



As I said previously there are always problems with trying to interpret Biblical prophecy; however religious extremists have already indicated that they believe Hillary Clinton is the Whore of Babylon; so even if most secular people don’t take it seriously it is worth considering this hypothesis since religious people believe it. Also there is an enormous amount of absurd behavior from both nominees the media and some of these similarities might be much closer than most people would have expected.

One of the problems that many religious people might be reluctant to acknowledge is from Revelations 17;17 “In fact, God has influenced their minds to do what he intends, to agree together to put their royal powers at the beast's disposal until the time when God's words shall be fulfilled,” which indicates that if people take this literally God is admitting that he’s influencing peoples minds so that they fall for this deception until God’s objective’s, what ever they are, happen. This should be an obvious case of entrapment. It also indicates that God is allegedly staging events so that his prophecies will come about instead of teaching people how to avoid them. Many of these prophecies include an enormous amount of atrocities so a merciful God would never try to bring them about.

Revelations 3;3 says "remember how you first heard the message. Hold on to that. Repent! If you do not wake up, I shall come to you like a thief, and you will have no idea at what hour I shall come upon you." This should also raise doubts which religious people are reluctant to acknowledge. If God or his messenger comes like a thief in the night as several other verses describe it, then he is shrouding his activities and motives in secrecy, assuming he exists and this is a revelation from him. This should indicate that God has an ulterior motive and is using us for his own purposes; not that he is a reliable source for moral judgement. The assumption that a God that inspires religion as described in the bible, and at best remains silent, or at worst actually incites a lot of violence or participates in it as described in the Bible is a credible source of morality is highly irrational.

However religious people believe this is a true prophecy and that God is merciful despite this and there seem to be other similarities they might point out to make their case. The Whore of Babylon is described as someone who has connections with kings and traders which could be similar to modern heads of states and corporate CEOs. These kings and traders are involved in enormous amounts of fraud and violence resulting in deaths of innocents. They also turn on each other when it suits their purposes developing alliances only when they think they can gain from it.

Hillary Clinton may have fit this description prior to being Secretary of State as First Lady or a Walmart board member; but as Secretary of State the similarities are much harder to completely deny, although they are vague enough that those that want to either completely deny them or say they’re overwhelming proof of what ever they want to believe can do so, and already are.

There are several stories about Hillary Clinton being drunk on numerous occasions, although the evidence behind these stories aren’t as strong as some of the other activities; but fundamentalists could still cite this as evidence that she’s drunk with power. There are also plenty of presumptuous news clips of her saying or implying that she’s the presumptive nominee before it wasn’t quite official and she acts as if there is no fraud surrounding the election even though there is enormous evidence of it.

There’s also evidence of her temper, including when she angrily said, “I’m sick and tired of the Sanders campaign lying about my record,” when she was actually talking to a Greenpeace representative and neither that representative or the Sander’s campaign was lying about her record, which was full of her own lies. One of the most blatant examples of her laughing about violence and turning on former allies was when she met with Qaddafi's son, Mutassim Gaddafi as part of the resumed diplomatic relations from several years earlier; then after the Libyan rebellion took place she pushed to bomb them increasing turmoil eventually turning it into a haven for terrorists. Most bizarre was when she was asked about it and laughed about the torture and killing of both Qaddafi and his son, Mutassim Gaddafi who she previously met.

This is far more like they type of behavior people might expect from “The Whore of Babylon” than someone that is trying to bring peace stability and fairness to the world.




Revelations 17;16 says "But the ten horns and the beast will turn against the prostitute, and tear off her clothes and leave her stark naked; then they will eat her flesh and burn the remains in the fire." This could bear some similarity to Hillary Clinton riding the Beast in, who could be Donald Trump, by taking his donations when they were allies then when they became adversaries they started attacking each other and exposing each others scams.

Is this beginning to sound too far-fetched? I'm sure it does, but this is not uncommon when it comes to interpreting the Bible. From a more rational point of view little of these Biblical conspiracy theories should be taken seriously unless there is much more corroborative evidence or something that we can be certain of.

However there is enough evidence that with or without a bizarre Biblical conspiracy It is insane to constantly pursue a foreign policy that involves constantly bombing people all over the world then trying to pretend we're holding a high moral ground. Both Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump want to continue using military force when it suits their purposes without acknowledging that a major part of the reason people around the world hate the United States Government is because when we bomb people around the world we constantly kill innocent people refereed to as "collateral damage," which would never be considered justified when they bomb us; and the United States Government is also constantly selling weapons to many tyrants that are often either used to kill more innocent people or turned against us and used to kill our own veterans fight wars based on lies.



With or without a bizarre Biblical conspiracy we should do much more to ensure that the vast majority of the public has the information and education they need to participate in the democratic process. We also need to do far more to take care of simple basic functions like repairing roads and providing reasonable Health Care for the majority of the public, if not everyone.

With or without a bizarre Biblical conspiracy there is no reasonable excuse for winding up with two incredibly corrupt and incompetent nominees that the Media is telling us are the only "viable" candidates.

With or without a bizarre Biblical conspiracy there is and enormous amount of absurd and insane activities treated as if they're normal and acceptable by both the media and political establishment, who're not even trying to bring about sincere reform; instead they're trying to convince the majority of the public that the status quo can't be changed now or ever. this is true even though they often acknowledge that at least one of the major problems we face, Climate Change could cause irreversible harm if it isn't addressed with major changes.

Have they all gone collectively insane?

On numerous past articles I have pointed out that this could be one of many unsolved mysteries that eh establishment isn't addressing properly. One of the earliest that I went into was 107 Wonders of the Ancient World which explains that there are major unsolved mysteries that go back to Biblical times including enormous megaliths moved large distances that shouldn't have been possible based on experiments to replicate these ancient wonders. This was followed up by a couple of articles about research that is definitely going on, however if there is something to the unsolved mysteries including UFOs they could be much larger research projects including "God's Not Dead" But Is He Nice? where I speculated about the possibility that if Ancient Aliens have been visiting our planet for decades and they influenced the moving of the megaliths thousands of years ago that they might be involved in large research projects that could include Climate Change research; and Multinationals Are Using Public For Research On Massive Scale where I reviewed medical research surrounding many common drugs as well as Genetically modified Organisms and anti-depressants.

No doubt this seems far-fetched to many rational skeptics especially if they haven't checked into the details or aren't aware of the unsolved mysteries that mainstream media and science institutions aren't adequately addressing so reasonable skepticism is understandable and advisable; however the current political establishment and media has become so absurd that the official version of the truth is becoming as far-fetched as some of the most bizarre conspiracy theories.

At best some of the theories considered are incomplete or rough around the edges but they do a better job addressing many of these unsolved mysteries that the traditional media does. I suspect, there is also evidence, as indicated in previous articles, that some of the highest profile experts aren't even trying to get many of their facts right, which enables them to continue arguing without resolving anything.

This is the same thing that goes on in the political establishment when it comes to trying to end corruption.

Whether any of these theories are close or not it should be clear that we need to do much more to reform out Democratic system and we can't count on our so-called leaders to do it for us. If they wanted to do a good job they would have done much better long ago before it became this insane. Even if these far-fetched conspiracies aren't true simpler ones are being exposed almost on a daily bases and we need much more disclosure that should be standard operating procedure.

Whether this is close to the truth or not neither nominee has been made official and if enough people speak loud and clear enough then we still have an opportunity to either get one or both removed as the nominee or take advantage of the incredibly high unfavorable ratings and finally convince people to vote for an alternative party candidate, finally breaking up the corporate duopoly.

Neither political party is even trying to understand the root causes of violence and how to prevent it even though there is good research available to them if they want to look at it.

Reasonable gun control would be part of it if they implemented it but it almost certainly wouldn't be the most important part. Unfortunately the legislation they're making the most noise about, the "No Fly No Buy Bill," is almost useless and may even violate peoples rights, although they may not be the rights the Republicans are concerned about.

Paul Ryan is right this sit-in really is a "Publicity Stunt," but he has done his part to make this seem somewhat legitimate and he's involved in more than his own share of publicity stunts.By holding a vote to pass legislation to revoke consumer protections from financial institution that provide deceptive information without disclosing their conflict of interests he actually makes their "Publicity Stunt" seem almost legitimate to those that don't pay enough attention



This is the same guy who washed clean dishes for a photo opportunity during the 2012 election even though he should have known the media might tell the public that was exactly what he was doing, which they did.

I just went through a lot of this in Media Suppresses Causes Of Orlando And Texas Shootings Again where I explained that there is plenty of research to show what the contributing causes of violence are and the most effective way to prevent them. Some of the most important contributing causes to violence including mass shootings don't even involve gun control, although reasonable gun control could prevent a murder from turning into a mass murder.

Unfortunately most of these aren't even discussed in traditional media or political establishment.

There is some evidence already that this shooter had a history of domestic violence which almost certainly resulted from the way he was raised possibly in a family where this was common. If this isn't the case, or if he wasn't raised in other dysfunctional ways, it would be almost unprecedented based on research into other violent murderers.

There should also be doubts about how ISIS might have inspired this attack considering the contradictory versions presented by the media; however there is plenty of evidence to indicate that past foreign policy has incited blow-back and attacks like the Boston Bombing San Bernidino may have been at least partially inspired by this, although the shooters or bombers weren't entirely rational.

The no-fly list that the "No Fly No Buy Bill" that set off this sit in is part of the racial profiling that may do more to incite retaliation than it does to prevent it and so is the assassination of Anwar al-Awlaki who preached about abuses by the United States Government against Muslims for years before being killed in a drone strike. His son was also killed in a drone strike; neither of them were charged with a crime or given access to due process; and not surprisingly Muslims were outraged by this.

The majority of the public who rely on the traditional media for information were probably given a far different explanation about his assassination portraying him as a "radical" inciting terror, amusing people paid attention at all. Alternative media including Democracy Now, the Nation, the Intercept, and Jeremy Scahill's book, "Dirty Wars," provide a far more detailed and well sourced explanation about his assassination and it clearly seems to be far more about criticizing the United states Government and their bombing of Muslim countries or supporting governments that oppress their own citizens that is used to anger potential "terrorists."

Anwar al-Awlaki had plenty of legitimate grievances but the US government wasn't willing to acknowledge them. Representatives of the US government routinely express outrage when "terrorists" kill out citizens, and rightly so; but when they drop bombs on citizens around the world killing many more or support tyrants that do much worse they consider it "collateral damage," if they have to discuss it at all.

The people in the United States that think they're getting the full story from their own government or media might not see the problem with this however people in the Muslim world understand something incredibly simple.

They don't like it when we bomb them anymore than we like it when they bomb us.

People who keep up with alternative media outlets that do a better job reporting the news, including please activists, and well informed Muslims can see how incredibly obvious the double stand is.



The people authorizing the sales of weapons to tyrants and approving the wars based on lies either don't see this or don't care; including the people participating in the sit in and Paul Ryan. Regrettably this includes the so-called "civil-rights icon" John Lewis. the media has presented John Lewis as one of the most progressive politicians out there along with Elizabeth Warren who is portrayed as a great "consumer advocate" but it appears as if neither of them or many if any other members of congress are doing as much as they could and should to address many of the root causes of violence.

Most of the people involved in this sit-in that is supposed to look like a grassroots effort to disrupt business as usual put their support behind Hillary Clinton who is highly incompetent when it comes to her foreign policy experience which has incited and enormous amount of unnecessary violence as i explained in several articles including Hillary Clinton’s Foreign Policy Experience is a disaster She is also far from progressive as she tries to portray herself and involved in epidemic levels of fraud including many that might directly or indirectly contribute to violence.



As I explained in numerous previous posts, including the one about the Orlando shooting, about the most important contributing causes of violence the most important way to stop long term violence is almost certainly to prevent child abuse and corporal punishment which teaches children to deal with their problems with violence at an early age. There is an enormous amount of research, including some in the links below, to confirm this; and an educational effort by the mass media and political establishment could teach the public about this and enable the government to do more to prevent child abuse.

Additional contributing causes could be prevented if more was done to improve education, reduce income inequality and poverty, often by exposing and preventing white collar crime, educating the public about how gambling contributes to crime and how the odds are rigged, stop fighting wars based on lies and training veterans and police officers to blindly follow orders and react with violence and many other things including reasonable gun control. There is an enormous amount of research available to show how many of these social factors contribute to more violence and how they could be prevented but unfortunately the Congress seems to be more interested in posturing and convincing the majority of the public that they're at least trying to do something about it than actually doing something that works. Even if the Democrats couldn't get help from the Republicans they could do much more to invite much more qualified academics like James Garbarino, Dorothy Otnow Lewis, Barbara Coloroso, Philip Greven and many more good academics to help them explain to the public how early abuse leads to escalating violence later in life; and their are other academics that could teach about other contributing causes as well, who they could give an opportunity to get their point across.



Instead they continue with publicity stunts and stir up people's emotions to support their efforts even though they routinely accomplish little or nothing.

They even manage to get a few subtle ads for major corporations who also happen to donate to campaigns. they made a point of saying that someone was going out to target to buy sleeping bags as if they really needed them to hold their protests. And Elizabeth Warren was widely credited with bringing the Dunkin Donuts; although they didn't say how much Dunkin Donuts paid for that great advertising or if it was done using the wink and nod method.

Real grassroots protesters don't find it necessary to go on buying sprees when they carry out their protests. However Congressmen seem much more accustomed to luxury and can't be expected to rough it too much. this includes John Lewis who hasn't participated in a real sit in in decades and even tried to suppress a Black Lives Matter protest against Hillary Clinton previously as I explained in Gloria Steinem Joins Reformers Selling Out; I guess grassroots efforts are only supposed to protest when they have permission from "civil rights icons," although well informed activists will never fall for that.

Unlike real grassroots activists the Congressional members, including the so-called progressives, were able to go home to a life of luxury.

Is it really any wonder that a growing percentage of the better educated people start to believe they're selling out.

In many cases addressing the contributing causes often impacts the profits of their campaign contributors. A couple of the simpler examples is when gambling leaves people desperate and they turn violent it still enriches corporations investing in it; or when insurgence companies make an enormous amount of money by deceiving the public in increases poverty and income inequality which contributes to more violence. Some of these contributing causes take time to understand but there not so complicated that average people can't understand them.

Unfortunately neither the media nor the political establishment gives the public the education and information they need to make important decisions; this is only available to those who seek it on their own, often through alternative media outlets or non-fiction books not promoted by traditional media.



As I said in the previous article about the Orlando shooting Bernie Sanders and Jill Stein both do a much better job supporting policies that would help reduce violent crime; however in most cases they support them for different reasons and don't do as much as they could to educate the public about how they could also help reduce violence. Improving education and reducing economic inequality, among other things, are worth doing on their own but they also reduce the contributing causes of violent crime and more can be done to educate the public about it.



I have provided much more research into many of the most important contributing causes of escalating violence in many of my past posts, and they usually provide sources that did more extensive research which is available to everyone. The following are some of the most important ones which could dramatically reduce violence if more people knew about them:

Dramatic House Sit-In on Guns Is Undercut by Focus on Secret, Racist Watchlist 06/22/2016

Some things were as insane at Walmart last month as they were in Orlando; and it started at the Orlando Walmart, although the national media didn't mention that; and there were at least three or four shootings at Walmart in just a few days while the media was reporting twenty-four-seven about the incidents in Orlando.

Four or five days before the Orlando shooting there was a panic at an Orlando Walmart that started with an evacuation during an armed robbery; within a few hours after that it was followed up by a second panic when a bomb threat was called into the same store. The night before the Pulse shooting there was also another shooting of Christina Grimmie and a few days after was the attack by an alligator of a toddler. This was an exceptionally active week for Orlando and the only story that didn't get national coverage were the ones about Walmart.

There were also at least seven shootings at Walmart including four within a few days of the Orlando shootings that were ignored by the national news; and at least four robberies by people armed with guns. One of these shootings, that happened almost immediately after the Orlando shootings was by an Iranian immigrant; however it wasn't terrorism related, as some people in the area may have initially believed. It was another disgruntled worker which is much more common although most of these stories don't escalate to shootings. However there are probably still more shootings from disgruntled workers than there are terrorism acts, although they get much less coverage. Walmart has had dozens, if not hundreds, over the years that led to shootings, bomb threats, hostage situations, or major assaults.

Over reacting disgruntled customers or workers are almost never reported at the national level and often not even at the local level; however when corporations are trying to cut corners that impact both customers and workers while lobbying the government to reduce the protections for both they're inevitable. On one of the other shootings that happened in the immediate aftermath of the Orlando shooting Walmart made a point of saying that it was an "isolated incident" without mentioning that they had a couple other "isolated incidents" on the same day and that they have a practice of referring to many of their problems as "isolated incidents" which happen over and over again, although reports are rarely ever compiled to find out how often they happen.

One of these shootings happened in Maine which was supposedly like something out of the wild west. This is unusual since Maine is one of the least violent states including at Walmart; however this shooting involved out of state people.

They also had a couple of panics caused by fire works being set off intentionally and a van catching fire. A couple Walmart employees were assaulted including one with a hammer; a women armed with a knife carjacked another; and one of their shoplifters was chased out to the road where he was hit by a car and killed.

Walmart also continued to have at least two more recalls, including one more involving possible listeria concerns, after having quite a few last month. A labor group has asked Walmart to sit out the GOP convention; there were no reports this month about concerns that the Democratic nominee is a former board member and remains good friends with one of the owners, collecting enormous amounts of campaign money from them. Their made in the USA claims were questioned again almost like clockwork; and they're asking for tax payer subsidies for creating so many jobs again without mentioning they ship more than they create overseas. They also fund help for schools but don't highlight that it is charter schools which transfers control of education to the private sector. Both education and private security are increasingly being controlled by corporations that aren't as accountable to the public as the government.

After a widespread report of increased crime problems at one Florida Walmart they cut back on calls to the police supposedly by requiring offenders that get caught stealing small amounts to take an online course about shoplifting.

There was no further explanation how this "online class" is supposed to work or if it is taken seriously.

Speculation about the possibility that better reporting about how effective it might be can be done in Tampa over beer with the shoplifters that have first hand experience with this have neither been confirmed or denied.

A recent court ruling for a Macy's store may also have an impact on Walmart. Macy's was banned from detaining suspected shoplifters and demanding reparations without charges. This has been done in what they now consider misusing of New York laws to protect retailers. Macy's has apparently been using these laws to cut their losses without going through the courts by demanding payments and threatening suspected shoplifters with arrest if they don't pay. apparently they even have their own jail cell in the store, although there should be some doubt about whether or not they'll be able to use them any more. These are a couple of dozens of laws passed that benefit large corporations including many "felony shoplifting" laws that make petty theft a felony for repeat offenders consumers or workers that don't donate large amounts of money to campaigns don't have laws passed to protect them from white collar crimes or misleading advertising and many other things.

Walmart and the Georgia DA have almost resolved an incident last year where kids stampeded one of their stores with mostly small penalties and restitution; however they're trying to arrange the suspected ring leader have charges dropped on the condition that he joins the Army. Outside of Walmart there was speculation that this was racially motivated by minorities that were fed up with total lack of opportunity; however this possibility wasn't even considered by the courts according to media reports. Allowing teens in trouble with the law to evade jail was supposedly put to an end during the Vietnam era after they had large problems with veterans committing crimes after being discharged. Apparently they've reconsidered that. Instead of a dressing lack of local opportunities they've gone back to providing military opportunities.

With all these problems how well do you think Walmart will be using drones to carry out tasks?

Besides, regardless of how much you might like Walmart, when a police chief in Florida found out that an attempted shoplifting was to feed babies and their mother he bought them for the family.

And it wasn't a Walmart worker that tried to bury his boss it was just a construction worker at a future Walmart site.

This isn't as strange as a suspected bike thief being lassoed outside an Oregon Walmart by a man on horseback.

In 2006 Wake Up Wal-Mart did a study, "Is Wal-Mart Safe?" based on incidents in 2004, (PDF) about crime at Wal-Mart which showed that it increased when Wal-Marts opened up and that crime was higher at Wal-Mart than at other retailers. Since then Wal-Mart Shootings began compiling a list of gun related incidents at Wal-Mart and demonstrated that they have a large number of them, including on average more than one shooting per week somewhere in the country. In January of 2014 another study, "Rolling Back Prices and Raising Crime Rates?" provided additional statistical research indicating that Wal-Mart might be contributing to higher crime rates or at least a slowing of the decline in crime. The study found that. “on average, communities with Walmarts had 17 more property crimes and two more violent crimes per 10,000 people than those communities without Walmarts.” I reviewed this more in Wal-Mart’s crime problem, Rolling Back Safety more than prices? where I explained that although this study is helpful they could have done better with additional data that is available and I reviewed some of that. I also added my own review about why I think that Wal-Mart policies have been contributing to higher crime in a previous blog, Wal-Mart high crime rate continues un-investigaterd and have provided additional information under the author tag Walmart Crime Watch.

Stacy Mitchell has also compiled a list of other studies about Wal-Mart and how they impact society, Key Studies on Big-Box Retail & Independent Business. To the best of my knowledge Wal-Mart has done as little as they seem to get away with, often relying on rhetoric that isn't backed up with action, when it comes to addressing any of their critics concerns, including crime. The following are a list of incidents that occurred in June 2016. According to the "Is Wal-Mart Safe?" the average store in their sampling had 250 incidents per year, indicating that these are only a fraction of the crime reports at Wal-Mart, and presumably, the ones most likely to make the news on the internet nationwide. This isn't statistically representative, as the 2006 or the "Rolling Back Prices and Raising Crime Rates?" study or some of the studies cited by Stacy Mitchell; but it does provide some additional information that may help recognize how many problems there are at Wal-Mart.

The media has an incredible knack for helping them by refusing to provide the best research on any given subject.

The media is giving Joe Biden another news cycle to talk about his "Cancer Moonshot" effort to find a cure; what they don't mention is that even though everyone would agree that curing cancer is a goal that we should be working toward; we already have an enormous amount of research available about how to dramatically reduce cancer and the ability to do it.

This mostly involves prevention of it from developing in the first place by recognizing many of the contributing causes of cancer. It won't take much searching the internet for evidence to indicate that a variety of things that can be reduced cause cancer and Joe Biden could take advantage of his high profile position to inform the public about it.

Of course that would interfere with large multinational corporations that make large profits from the pollution, tobacco, fatty food including red meat that contribute to cancer.

This is why the media and political establishment routinely gives credit to each other for all the things people at the grassroots or in the research community accomplish.

If they did a better job educating the public about the causes of cancer and based their policy decisions on them then they could dramatically reduce cancer without waiting for new research and at the same time they could provide adequate funding for future research on the condition that there aren't patents driving up the costs of medications and treatments. If they informed the public about how much more the pharmaceutical companies spent on marketing and lobbying than they do on research then it would be clear that the government is really funding a large portion of the research already which means there is no justification for the patents except that it is corporate welfare in return for campaign contributors, although they may use the wink and nod method so they can claim there's no Quid pro quo.

Besides as the following article clearly indicates the amount of funding the Obama administration is asking for isn't nearly enough to accomplish the goal he claims to be aiming for:



Discussion about not sharing information wasn't in the majority of the media reports about his "Cancer Moonshot" so most of the public don't know about it. If it was then more could be done to discuss how effective patents are, since they're a major part of the reason why different companies don't share information with each other. The government often subsidizes research without requiring that different companies share the information with each other or that they provide affordable health care coverage when they do develop improved treatments. Greater discussion of this might indicate that the current method of financing for profit clearly isn't even close to the most effective way to advance research or the health of the majority.

If grant or tax breaks for research were provided on the condition that they share information with each other then duplicate research could be significantly reduced and different researchers could learn much more from each other. Sacrifices made for the sake of research could also be reduced.

It doesn't take an advanced scientific education to understand the current system, where everything is patented and done in secrecy, isn't about the most effective way to advance research; it is about the most effective way to ensure that those at the top can control it; so that they can maximize profits at the expense of the public.

His son also did his share to take credit from the best researchers and he famously used his death for his own political purposes, even though anyone who points out the obvious might risk being criticized for being insensitive. The claim that Beau allegedly believed that Joe Biden would be the only one that could do a good job solving this countries problems so he urged him to run for president as part of a heroic death bed plea should be considered highly political and phony, although I don't mean to smear someone dying of cancer; however the people that used his death for political purposes are the ones showing real disrespect.

For a while years before Beau Biden's death he spoke out about how corporal punishment should be banned and helped pass a bill doing so in Delaware. This bill allegedly outlawed corporal punishment in the home and there were a lot of supporters for corporal punishment that were outraged claiming that it interfered with their right to raise their children as they saw fit. When the bill was passed supporters of it were of course pleased; however in response to the complaints they explained that this wouldn't be used to prosecute parents except in the most extreme circumstances.

This might have worked out quite well if they had allowed the researchers opposing corporal punishment to explain why it should be eliminated and how it has a negative impact on children behavior; however instead they let the politicians and media handle the majority of the coverage and it may not have had much of an impact at all. Sweden banned corporal punishment decades ago ahead of the majority of the world and this ban was accompanied by an educational effort by researchers that know about the negative impacts. They were able to drastically reduce or eliminate corporal punishment without much if any legal reprisals for those that used it. If they did this in Delaware than it could have been much more effective and the education could have spread to other parts of the United States reducing violence everywhere, even where there was no law banning corporal punishment.

This didn't happen and murder statistics may already reflect this, although hard conclusions based on a law only a few years old are premature. They didn't ban corporal punishment in Delaware schools until 2003 and in homes in 2014. In most cases statistics show that states using the most corporal punishment have the highest murder rates so presumably they might have gone down after it was banned in schools, but if anything they went up. Corporal punishment is just one of many contributing factors, even if it is probably the most important one other things like poverty, income inequality and abandoned inner cities also impact them. However a review of the research would almost certainly indicate that allowing those that knew more about it, instead of politicians that routinely take credit for the work of researchers, deliver the message would have improved educational opportunities for the public.

However, when it comes to stealing credit for other people's work, Hillary Clinton and her campaign staff and surrogates, are doing a much more effective job than either the Biden's or Al Gore, even when she has actually worked against many of the initiatives she claims to support.



When the "Fight for 15" movement began she waited a long time to say anything; then when it was clear that it was gaining momentum instead of supporting it she came out in support of a gradual increase to 12 dollars an hour as what the media portrayed as a reasonable compromise.

If the workers accepted this and remained silent letting her fight for them; then I suspect they might have hit a filibuster in the Congress and Hillary Clinton could have at least gotten credit for trying. Instead they kept on going and succeeded in at least two states, California and New York.

Hillary Clinton went to a rally and tried to claim she fought for it all along.

How stupid does she think workers are?

Is she relying on the public remaining ignorant or complacent? If not, how can she get any support at all.

Amazingly when she was Secretary of State the state department lobbied Haiti not to raise the minimum wage from 31 cents an hour to 61 cents; but this was hardly mentioned by traditional media. News of this came out as a result of E-mails that were disclosed and reported in alternative media outlets.

She also took credit for helping Haiti through the Clinton Foundation; what the media rarely ever mention is that the vast majority of the money raised for Haiti never made it to Haiti and there have been numerous protests against Clinton for this.

Additional E-mails also exposed her support for the Honduran coup; and while the refugees were coming to the United States she said they had to be sent back, often even if they faced persecution as a result of the coup she supported.

Then amazingly she took a little girl in her lap in Nevada telling her not to worry about her parents being deported, that she would take care of it, not mentioning her past support for deportation.



Amazingly, (I know using the word amazingly too often becomes redundant but it really is amazing how often the media get everything wrong about Hillary Clinton), anyone that researches it will find that she does similar things on just about every subject she takes a position on often flipping her position for the duration of the campaign. She supported many trade agreements including TPP, the Keystone pipeline, fracking and many other things before she opposed them and only opposed them as the election was approaching. She often says that the public needs someone that doesn't just come around at election time and make promises reneging on them once in office yet that is exactly what her track record indicates we can expect from her.

Her E-mails show that she lobbied for CAFTA in private, but took credit for voting against it after it was clear it would fail; she took credit for opposing banking deregulation as First Lady but then after taking donations from the banks voted for the same deregulation with a minor change.

She's having enough problems with her E-mails in constant investigations that often appear political, sometimes because they are; but the biggest problems with her record are the ones that get much less attention from the press.  While they're reporting on the scandal in a way that seems partisan they're ignoring the content of the disclosed E-mails that are only being covered by alternative media outlets. Both the media and campaign contributors profit off of activities like the Honduran coup, free trade without worker or environmental protection, or suppressing the minimum wage.

The mainstream media routinely gives credit to the most incompetent politicians or each other in some cases for the things done by researchers or grassroots efforts; after all clearly it couldn't have been Al Gore who invented the internet if it was actually Brian Williams that was stealing the credit from the people that did the work.



Giving credit to Joe Biden for helping find the cure for cancer is even more ludicrous when considering many of his past blunders, including his early downfall after being caught plagiarizing a British politician ending his 1988 presidential campaign. Or when he said, "When the stock market crashed, Franklin D. Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the, you know, the princes of greed. He said, 'Look, here's what happened."–Joe Biden, apparently unaware that FDR wasn't president when the stock market crashed in 1929 and that only experimental TV sets were in use at that time, interview with Katie Couric, Sept. 22, 2008 Top 10 Joe Biden Gaffes

The police didn't protect Philando Castile or Alton Sterling; they killed them for trivial reasons, or perhaps as a result of their own paranoia and bigotry.

It is hard to imagine that the protesters believe that they're there to protect them more than they are to keep them under control.

Repeating the claim that the police are here to protect us over and over again won't convince those that are being targeted as suspects, often without reason over and over again that it's true.

To protect and to Serve sounds like a great slogan and it would be if the police protected everyone equally and was accountable to the public not just those with the most political clout.



The Black Lives Matter movement didn't train Micah Xavier Johnson to go on a killing spree. The military may have partially done so though; and he isn't the only one trained by the military or police academies, by far, to go on shooting sprees against the people they're supposedly protecting. Within the past few months a Homeland Security Officer and former FBI agent, both with military experience as well went on shooting sprees and the Orlando shooter was a security guard who had previously worked at a courthouse providing private security for the government. The reason for all the protests that have been going on is because citizens activists have been documenting an enormous number of shootings especially minorities and often veterans by police under questionable circumstances and I went into many of them myself and the reasons why this is such a problem in A Brief History of Cops Convicted of Murder and Teach a soldier to kill and he just might. These reviews of the causes of violence also included research that is rarely presented in the traditional media, although it is available in the academic world; and it stands up to scrutiny much better than the research that is presented in the media, which is mostly propaganda appealing to peoples emotions.

One of the biggest causes for violence is early child abuse bullying which escalates to more violence later in life including domestic violence or hazing in various organizations including the military or police academy. In the previous posts about the subject I cited an article by David Couper, former police chief of Madison Wisconsin, which has low murder rates due to progressive policing and other local activities including education. He explained how hazing and bullying in the police academy taught police to respond with necessary violence; and he also demonstrated that some of the people concerned about he problem and trying to fix it are police.

This also goes for veterans who are also impacted by veteran violence when they go out of control and one of those veterans, Ashton Woods, was also leading the peaceful Black Lives Matter in Dallas. Woods said the repeated shootings by police are pushing some unstable people over the edge. "That does something to the human psyche. I don't care what color or ethnicity you are," he said. Woods also said a couple days after this article that he had seen Micah Johnson around Dallas although he didn't know him personally and he wasn't involved in the Black Lives Matter movement. Just a few hours before the shooting incident Harry Houck was in a shouting match on Erin Burnett (July 7) where he denied any fault by the police and continued a pattern by many of the most extreme police officers claiming there isn't any problem with the police worth protesting against. Van Jones responded by scolding Houck for being “so rude and interruptive that you’re actually making my point… no matter how respectful we are, this is the way it goes down.”

I have no idea whether or not Micah Johnson saw this but this is just one of many rants by police like Patrick Lynch, Frank Borelli, or their other defenders like Rudy Giuliani who're in total denial of any problem with the police at all. People that live in minority communities will always know much better. It is much easier for those with political power to remain in denial than for those that are being oppressed with little or no educational or economic opportunities.

If Micah Johnson was outraged by the police shootings and saw that little or nothing was going to be done to solve the problem these denials are much more likely to send him over the edge than the protests by Black Lives Matter. If anything the protests might have given him hope that here might be an alternative way to change things, which rational people know that there is. Of course after the shooting in Dallas instead of changing his rhetoric those in denial like Harry Houck and others blamed Black Lives Matter for protesting the problem instead of police for over acting in many of these shooting incidents.

The media gives these police apologists much more air time and, although they give some air time to more rational people like Van Jones many of the best researchers hardly get any air time at all and when the Black Lives Matter representatives that might have a good point to make they only get a small amount of air time at best, while shouting matches like the one on Erin Burnett that make good entertainment but lousy education are routine.

Another black Lives Matter representative made a great point with the little time they gave her when she said that forty percent of her local city budget went to police; unfortunately they didn't give her time to elaborate on that. If they wanted to understand what leads up to violent crime they could do much more to explain how lack of educational or economic opportunity and income inequality contribute to crime. By using too much money for police, which waits till the last minute before addressing crime, there is less money for education housing, child care and many other things that prevent violence from escalating so that police often never have to be called at all.

When productive solutions like this happens it never makes the news!

Unfortunately the response to this in the media is more money for police but little or no discussion about other preventative methods.

Dallas Police Chief David Brown started to make a good point when he said they were asking too much of their police when he said they asked them to deal with mental health and many other problems instead of providing counseling; and he added to this by saying that if some of the Black Lives Matter protesters wanted to help they could apply for a job. Hopefully some of those jobs would be in education or child care not just the police.

Since they have all this propaganda about the police protecting us, another concern that should be is whether or not they're protecting us from epidemic levels of white collar crime that cause the poverty and income inequality among other things that might indirectly contribute to problems in abandoned inner cities, including violence.

When the multinational corporations ship jobs overseas to suppress wages and eliminate economic opportunity are they protecting poor people from fraud?

When these same corporations send advertising budgets through the roof paying people that deceive the public lots of money while cutting manufacturing expenses to the bone are the police protecting the poor from them?

When they consolidate to a small number of corporations so they don't have a real free enterprise system competing with each other are the police protecting the poor from epidemic corporate fraud?

When those that control large corporations profit by polluting poor neighbors, often leading to many diseases that kill them, are the police protecting the poor from negligent mass homicide?

When insurance companies lobby the government to ensure that a reasonably affordable health care system isn't implemented do the police protect the poor from fraud? when the same insurance companies buy enormous amount of advertising from the media and the media coincidentally chooses not to explain the benefits of Single Payer to the public are the police are the police protecting the poor from fraud?

When the media rig elections by only providing coverage to candidates that support corporate interests are the police protecting the public from epidemic manipulation of the so-called democratic process? Are they protecting the public from voter suppression?

Of course not this isn't their jurisdiction, nor is it what they're trained to do; or is it?

When large segments of the public finally learn about these epidemic levels of fraud and start protesting the government does nothing then they call in the police, not to protect the poor, but to relegate them to "free speech zones" or some other method to ensure that they can't get their point across to the public.

Following orders designed to protect the rich and powerful and enforce the rules and laws they create are as important if not more important to the police as protecting the public although this isn't what the good police officers intended at all.

Saying they're protecting us over and over again doesn't change the fact that it isn't always true! Even though good police officers never intended to aid and abet in epidemic levels of fraud negligent mass murder and voter suppression, by blindly obeying orders to suppress protests when the political establishment and the media refuse to do their job that is what they unintentionally wind up doing. It may take time to think this through but the result is the same for those that are being oppressed, not protected.



What the media and the political establishment fail to mention is that the most effective way to protect both the police and the majority of the public is to find the root causes of crime and prevent them. There is plenty of research which I have covered in past articles to show how this is done and the most important efforts don't even involve police. It involves maintaining a good educational system and economic system that enables everyone to have reasonable opportunities without driving one segment of society into desperation while enriching the elites without any accountability.

What is almost completely buried in this discussion is any mention about how the greatest threat to both the police and the majority of the public have come when neither the government or the private sector address many of the basic functions of society and corruption is at epidemic levels, whether that corruption is in the police on in the corporate sector. Some of the highest death rates for police officers, especially by murder on the job took place in the twenties and the sixties and seventies when there was much more police corruption. A lot of this was partly retaliation from police brutality.

The all time low, per capita, of police deaths in the line of duty was in 2013; even if you just counted the total deaths without comparison to population this was the low for at least five or six decades as well.



In order to make it seem like a :"war on police" they've been comparing recent shootings to 2013 saying it is a dramatic rise without mentioning it was the all time low. This is obviously misleading propaganda that can be easily exposed and when they first did it in 2014 it was exposed at the grassroots level quickly while the traditional media repeated their propaganda over and over again. They're doing the same thing now but since it was exposed they're not quite as extreme.

Retaliation for police brutality is much lower than it was in the past and if they want it to get any lower the way to reduce it even further is to reduce the police brutality and restore other educational and economic opportunities that many of these protesters are trying to speak out for.

The good police didn't sign on to defend a corrupt political system; and if they understood that that is what they were doing they would favor this reform as much as the protesters.

Bernie's decision to endorse Hillary Clinton should remind people that grassroots education and efforts will do far more to bring about real reform than any one candidate although it will be much more likely if we manage to elect a candidate that is at least trying to do a good job, which will never include either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump.

Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton have the highest negative poll numbers in history, with good reason; and I strongly suspect they have even less support than the media implies, especially Hillary, who can't gather large enthusiastic crowds like either Trump or Sanders. However Trump can't completely fake his large rallies which should raise major concerns about how he was able to convince all these people that he represents their best interests.

He's not even a good scam artist, assuming his target audience has a reasonable amount of critical thinking skills.

The fact that Hillary Clinton isn't beating him by an unprecedented landslide already in the polls is a clear indication of how horrendous she is as a candidate!

This demonstrates that a shocking percentage of the public responds far more to appeals to emotions than they do to rational arguments; and the political establishment has been studying how to manipulate those emotions for decades.

It also demonstrates that a Democracy can't work unless the majority of the public have the education critical thinking skills and access to accurate to look out for their own best interests. If more isn't done to teach the public to think rationally we''l fall for the same scam every damn time and it gets worse every four years.

Bernie Sanders has done far more to promote a grassroots movement than any of the pseudo-progressives that the media provide a modest amount of coverage for before electing a corporate democrat, and that is something that a politician selling out would never do since his grassroots movement appears to be going on even with the endorsement.

However Hillary Clinton opposed almost all of her progressives positions until it became clear that she would need to reach out to progressives for the primary, and she's demonstrated in the past that she will flip once in power. There have been so many examples where she has taken one position in public and another in private that it is hard to keep up with, although many people have tried including me in numerous past posts with incredibly long lists of examples.

By recommending that we accept the lesser of two evils as our only options Bernie is trying to help elect one of the two most corrupt candidates ever to run for president, the other is Donald Trump and it is hard to tell which is worse, although at least with Trump he isn't doing as good a job pretending to be progressive.

The fact that a large number of his supporters aren't going along with this indicates that they have far better critical thinking skills than the supporters of Donald Trump. This a close look at the records of the candidates that the media is willing to cover shows that he's the only one that is even remotely close to representing the people, unless you count Jill Stein, who the media hardly covers at all.

However thanks to alternative media outlets she's getting enough coverage to slowly get support and force the media to give her a minimum amount of coverage.

The media practically never covers real grassroots candidates at all, virtually rigging elections so that the only "Viable" candidates are ones that represent corporate interests while consulting with campaign advisors and pollsters to convince the public that they're looking out for their best interests without actually doing so.  

There's been an incredibly long history of so-called progressives or liberals running for president then either collapsing because of their own efforts or betraying progressives causes. Every open election in the past thirty years they've always run a progressive who later showed that he wasn't so progressive although in most cases they didn't even win. Often they seem to have run incredibly bad campaigns that might make some people wonder if they aren't taking a dive.

The most recent one, Barack Obama in 2008, may have been the first one to actually win the White House; but then he proved that he wasn't progressive at all catering to corporate interests over and over again. The media and his political advisors presented him as a rising star from the grassroots and an enormous number of people believed them including record breaking numbers of African Americans and young people that turned out to vote for him.

He promised not to hire any lobbyists in his cabinet, to oppose free trade when it didn't protect jobs or workers rights to support GMO labeling, oppose military actions around the world based on lies, and he even said that as president, if necessary, he would put on a "Comfortable Pair of shoes and march with protesters to protect workers rights.

He broke every one of these promises and many more.

The recent controversy about Malia Trump's plagiarizing Michelle Obama's speech overlooks the reminder that she put emphasis on the fact that keeping promises matters a lot and that is why they told us to vote for Obama in 2008 but after he broke all these promises it should be clear that all traditional candidates are compulsive liars. At least Obama did a much better job pretending to represent the public. Neither Hillary or Trump even do that!

Prior to his election his record was far more progressive than Hillary Clinton, which is why he won. Now that Hillary won the nomination with an enormous amount of help from the media and voter suppression we're supposed to believe she's a progressive just because Bernie Sanders endorsed her and contradicted himself on many issues in the process?

For many of us that looked at her record it isn't going to happen and it is clear that this raises doubts about whether Bernie Sanders has been working with the establishment for too long and is starting to believe some of their own propaganda about accepting the assumption that we can never challenge the two party system.

He still has a much better record representing the public consistently and it is only after and enormous amount of pressure that began before the campaign that he accepted the lesser of two evil arguments and endorsed Hillary. The media has been pressuring him to promise to endorse the winner since he began when George Stephanopoulos and other pundits persistently demanded that he endorse the duopoly before providing him any coverage and still presented Hillary Clinton as the inevitable nominee.

Perhaps he couldn't have even gotten as much coverage as he did if he didn't make that promise.

But he also made a promise to the public to pursue revolutionary reform which Hillary Clinton will never do unless she thinks she has absolutely not choice! 

Clearly, sometimes even Bernie Sanders needs to be convinced to support the grassroots and political reform with all this pressure from the corrupt establishment.



However grassroots efforts alone won't bring about the reform we need if we have to fight tooth and nail to get the president to stop corrupting the system. This is what has been going on for seven years with Barack Obama; who didn't address many if any of the concerns brought about by Occupy Wall Street or any of the other protest movements that he supported during his campaign. He opposed the Keystone pipeline during his campaign but then hedged until there was an enormous amount of protest to back him up; he still supports TPP and privatization of the education system and use of drone strikes despite enormous protests.

Neither Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump are even doing a good job pretending to support the interest of the public, nor do their records indicate that either one of them will be as willing to back down even a little when faced with enormous amounts of protests.

Furthermore with their enormous negative poll numbers and grassroots oppositions we shouldn't believe that they're our only choice. This could be the best chance since Abraham Lincoln to elect an third party candidate or to overturn the presumptive nominee in a convention.

In any other political year this would probably be an absurd out of the question idea but this political year has been full of one absurd out of the question thing after another, including these incredibly corrupt candidates becoming the presumptive nominees.

There is virtually guaranteed to be enormous marches in support of Bernie Sanders much bigger than those supporting the nominee.

I don't think this has ever happened before.

This will be disastrous for the Democratic Party for the country to see that their nominee can't get this kind of support and it may also draw attention, at least in the alternative media to enormous reports of the voter suppression that enabled her to win the delegates she needs.

Or it may draw attention to many of the news stories that the media hasn't been covering adequately which could easily cause a melt down of Hillary Clinton's campaign if the public knew about them.

Hillary Clinton has been involved in record number of scandals that should have caused her campaign to collapse years ago; and they would have if there had been reasonable coverage of them. In this insane campaign it may still be possible for that to happen.

But if it does it will only happen with an enormous amount of grassroots pressure which is building up even if the media doesn't report it.

This could still potentially convince the delegates to support Bernie at the convention. If so it will be due to the grassroots efforts that he gets the nomination not his promises to party leaders.

However in the event this happens there should be enough evidence that indicates that even Bernie Sanders needs to be accountable to the grassroots, and as much as I think he has done far more than any other establishment candidate he may need an concessional reminder, along with grassroots pressure on the congress to get the reform he's been fighting for.

If not then supporting either Trump or Clinton will essentially be rubber stamping the corporate duopoly allowing them to rig elections by rigging the coverage and limiting our choices to two parties that are incredibly corrupt.

In the long run we'll have to reform the entire election and media system enabling the public to control the interview process and to hear from all candidates without requiring them to collect enormous amounts of donations from corporations before getting any coverage. In the short run if Bernie Sanders can't get elected then there are only a couple possibilities with name recognition including Jill Stein and Gary Johnson, either of which would be far better than Trump or Clinton but Johnson isn't inclined to provide the investment in restoring our infrastructure or protecting the environment.

Jill Stein has far more in common with Bernie Sanders than Gary Johnson and an enormous number of Bernie's supporters are switching to him already. As far fetched as some people might think this is it could either hep convince the ?Democrats to nominate Bernie or give her the first real chance of beating these two incredibly corrupt and incompetent candidates.



Some have argued that this is a lost cause as well and that it can do far more to set the ground for future campaigns, which could be true. However that has already begun, although the media hasn't been reporting on it. As I reported previously in The media isn’t reporting it but Grass Roots candidates are winning some local elections there are some communities that are electing independents or at least progressives that are actually responsive to the public within the traditional parties at the local level where grassroots educate themselves. One of them. Gayle McLaughlin, is no longer mayor due to term limits but the grassroots movement in Richmond is still keeping them honest and there are more including Kshama Sawant and possibly many more that haven't been widely reported.

This opens up at least two possibilities; that enormous support for either Jill Stein or Bernie Sanders could help grow this movement and get them elected as well or at least grow the movement and let the candidate that wins know that the public isn't falling for this scam any more if they keep getting more extreme.

But in order for this to work in addition to good candidates we need grassroots pressure to keep them honest.

Another reason why grassroots efforts are as important if not more important than the candidate we elect is that the method of small contributions that both Bernie Sanders and Jill Stein are relying on to challenge the system may be much better than allowing the corporation to completely control the debate; but it runs the risk of committing to a finance system that is still flawed.

As I explained in several posts including Invest in Activism, AND Bernie Sanders, Jill Stein and Grassroots in the long run we need an election process that enables the public to control the interview process so that we can hear from all candidates and we also need media reform. In Saving Project Vote Smart and improving it or replacing it I explained that we should require all candidates to fill out an application that the public can use to compare each of them and know where they stand on the issues.

Unfortunately even though both Jill Stein and Bernie Sanders have filled out these applications in the past unlike either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton they have declined to update it this year. Both Jill Stein and Bernie Sanders are far better at sincere reform than either Trump or Clinton but this is one more examples of why even they need to be held accountable to those of us who help them get elected. Even if they don't win they could do a lot to inform the public about ways to improve the election process by supporting this along with expanded and open debates that invite all eligible candidates for any office including the presidency.

Both Stein and Sanders have been far more inclined to support this; but unfortunately like a lot of other politicians at least Sanders has done it more when it suited his campaign declining to engage with Jill Stein on several occasions when she invited him to.

Unless there is an enormous outage we'll get one of these two incredibly corrupt candidates which has led to many seemingly farfetched conspiracy theories; however even though the most bizarre ones are unlikely the behavior of the media and political establishment indicates that something absurd is going on and behind the irrational or humorous conspiracy theories is and enormous amount of corruption which won't change; and there is still a possibility of a more rational conspiracy theory. But that can't be uncovered unless there is an enormous pressure to get the truth out along with careful scrutiny to fact check them.

At least Jill ?Stein has been calling for Truth Commissions but if we can get this through it will have to be under a more credible candidate like Jill Stein or Bernie Sanders. There is no way we can trust either Trump or Clinton to oversee this while they continue to be involved in epidemic scams.  







Bernie Sanders escalated a grassroots movement that was in the process for years if not decades. We can't let it end if we want to bring about the reform we need just because he endorsed Hillary Clinton. This raises some doubts about hims but hopefully it is due to pressure. He may still be the best chance to get a sincere candidate in office either by running as the Democratic Nominee but if we give up then we will never get the reform we need until after they may do more damage than we can repair.







On top of that with atrocious record on foreign policy really has costed an enormous number of people their lives even if some people like Pat Smith may have exaggerated or misrepresented her record for political reasons. She's still supported enormous arms sales which routinely wind up in the hands of people we fight against or tyrants that incite more war and invasions based on lies either as Senator supporting the Iraq war or as Secretary of State supporting many more disasters that created a breeding ground for terrorism. She has preserved a policy that maintains a permanent state of war and despite some of Donald Trump's legitimate criticism of this his plans are just as extreme.

It will be a disaster with either of these tow at a time when we need major reform that only Bernie Sanders or Jill Stein are willing to bring about.

Obviously Mark Twain couldn't have specifically endorsed one of these candidates; however he made statements that clearly indicates that he wouldn't even consider choosing among those chosen by the establishment; and he also indicated that the public should think for themselves and not let the political parties narrow their choices to two incredibly corrupt candidates as the following excerpts from his autobiography, which he refers to as being from the grave, indicates:



I may not be able to tell which candidate he would choose but with the current political establishment lining up like cult followers in a manner as bad, if not much worse, than the political culture in 1884, it is clear that there is no way he would consider either of the two presumptive nominees.

Nor should any rational person.

The political establishment is relying on a cult mentality that a shocking percentage of the public still have which involves blindly following the leader or crowd. They've done an enormous amount of research into this and political advisors like Frank Luntz, James Carville, George Stephanopoulos routine study so they can manipulate the public more effectively and pressure into supporting candidates that don't serve their interests.

The good news is that a lot of this research indicate that child rearing tactics are a large contributing factor to this and that many younger people learn more critical thinking skills due to changes since Benjamin Spock and other advisers recommended many more effective methods. These are necessary to educate workers in a high tech society and they also enable them to stand up for themselves more effectively when politicians manipulate them.

This is no doubt a major reason why Bernie Sanders is so much more popular among younger people who weren't taught to go along with the crowd.



Mark Twain understood long before many of these young people that real Patriotism is doing what's best for our country; not blindly obeying our leaders even when they send us to war based on lies.

With either Trump or Clinton we'll get many more wars based on lies and epidemic levels of fraud which they're already involved in as many reports indicate.

The Wiki-leaks of the Democratic National Committee have shown what many of us already knew; that democracy is a farce and that bribery is standard operating procedure, although they don't call it bribery as long as they carefully avoid what lawyers call a "quid quo pro." They also show that an enormous amount of the money they collect is used to research how to indoctrinate the public into voting for candidates that routinely break their promises.

One of the most widely spread E-Mails includes an attachment about how gain Hispanic support, reflecting how they studied them; however it is virtually guaranteed that they have additional studies for most if not all racial groups, age groups, religions, and other demographic groups.

Democrats have often criticized the Republicans for being opposed to science including evidence of Global Warming; however there is an enormous amount of evidence that although they're not quite as obvious, most of the time, they also ignore the best research on any given subject when it suits their purposes.

However these E-Mails indicate that they're studying the psychological science of manipulating the public to convince them to support their candidate for the benefit of their donors; instead of educating the public about science that would help make policy decisions that benefit the public, on any given issues, including violence that the media has been covering involving shootings by or of the police and international violence selling arms and inciting terrorism.

No doubt the Republicans also use similar research but they try to attract a different constituency while serving the same campaign donors who win as long as we keep settling for the same two Parties that routinely betray us.

Wink and Nod Bribery Tactics

One of the leaked E-Mails, Wikileaks E-Mail: Jordan Kaplan Re: lucky you? 07/2/2016, show how careful the lawyers at the DNC and presumably other political Parties and Campaigns are about avoiding official bribery; but clearly demonstrates that is what is going on, even if they don't call it that, thanks to limited definition created by lawyers and lobbyists. In response to a "NOT strategic question," asked by Robert Glovsky, Vice Chair of The Colony Group, "The one question I need to get a handle on is what I get if I give the $33,400 by June 1 to the Victory Fund - either from the campaign or the DNC. and, how does that compare to being a Hillraiser." to Naomi Aberly she avoided promising him what might be considered a quid pro quo. However it is incredibly obvious that is what he wanted. By not turning him away completely it implies that they're not entirely opposed to bribes as long as it is considered legal.

Jordan Kaplan told Naomi that "He would have more juice at the DNC than with HVF (Hillary Victory Fund)," further implying that bribery is acceptable as long as it don't fit the incredibly narrow definition of a Quid Pro Quo. On top of that this should clearly demonstrate collusion between the DMC and Hillary Campaign which isn't available to those not supported by establishment like Bernie Sanders campaign.

In addition to implicating the DNC and Hillary Clinton this adds to evidence of donors buying influence with the Obama administration, which promised not to hire lobbyists when he campaigned in 2008. Hispanic and Other Demographic Groups Indoctrination Tactics




Outreach to Hispanics or any other demographic group doesn't seem to involve encouraging them to check facts, which Karla Ortiz and other Hispanics might be advised to do before joining the campaign and realizing they've been betrayed, as indicated by the following attachment obtained from RE: Follow Up 05/22/2016 Getting out the Latino Vote in 2016 and Beyond



This is a result of an enormous research into how voters, in this case Hispanics, respond to various outreach methods. This is only a small sample of advertising research for both sales and political purposes, which attempts to get the views of the advertiser across without fact checking when ever possible. Most of this research is considered proprietary and researchers are routinely required to sign non-disclosure agreements recognized by the legal system. This should, and would, raise many ethical issues if the vast majority of the public understood them, which of course they don't. By making this type of research proprietary, with protection under the legal system, the law is aiding and abetting conspiracies to psychologically manipulate the public for either marketing scams or political manipulation to get the public to vote against their own best interests without realizing they're being manipulated.

This is basically a description of indoctrination methods although they avoid phrasing it that way.

"Brand loyal consumers," assuming Hispanics are as loyal as they claim, are an advertisers dream because they buy based on Brand without following up with comparison shopping. Their attempt to "develop a relationship with Hispanics based on trust and inclusion," is unlikely to hold up to scrutiny if a reasonable amount of fact checking is done, as indicated below with a review of how Hillary Clinton has responded to Karla's request in the past. The protests in California before their primary also indicates that a lot of well informed Hispanics were aware of her deceptions already, although, perhaps with the help of this psychological research it appears as if a lot of other Hispanics have fallen for their propaganda.

They claim that "Hispanics are the most responsive to 'story telling,'” which may be true, at least to some degree. However this involves more appeals to emotions and attempting to develop friendship, presumably with a small percentage of people since they can't get to know them all. However if they befriend people with a lot of popularity, which is well known among social marketers, they can encourage them to recruit others based on appeals to emotions. Once they trust their "friends" or perceived friends they may be much more willing to believe them without fact checking.

This might be how they were able to convince Karla and her family to trust Hillary Clinton and enable the emotional moment in Nevada which eventually led up to her speech at the Democratic National Convention.

In all fairness though, one of the E-mails that is making the rounds, Wikileaks E-Mail: RE: New video: Trump isn't trying to bring people together 05/09/2016 is probably not as derogatory of Hispanics as some people make it out to be. The reference to "taco bowl engagement" is clearly a reference to Trump's tweet where he's eating a Taco bowl attempting to refer to his engagement efforts as incredibly incompetent, which as they know with their research it will be ineffective. However they're still attempting to use his incompetency for political reasons not for the best interests of Hispanics.

Betraying Karla and other Latinos for Political Reasons

Karla' speech to the Democratic National convention was a follow up of an event that happened after reporters left the room in Nevada and a recording of an event was made that was quickly turned into an ad as reported in Hillary Clinton released emotional ad to appeal Nevada Latinos (02/18/2016), where she tells Karla, "You don't have to worry about what happens to your mom and dad, or somebody else in your family. Let me do the worrying. I'll do all the worrying, is that a deal? I'll do all the worry. I'll do everything I can to help, OK?"

Now that this document has been revealed it is reasonable to assume that it might have happened as one of their outreach attempts and when it worked out so well it they may have pounced on it to use it as an ad. This isn't a guarantee; however it is reasonable speculation considering all the political manipulation that the Clinton Campaign has been involved in in the past going back to the "rapid response" team with James Carville and George Stephanopoulos, in 1992 her getting caught planting questions in 2008, and now an enormous amount of leaks from the DNC that show collusion with her campaign. If this isn't somewhat close to how they might have manipulated Hispanics there could easily be other manipulation methods, which is more likely after a simple check of a small amount of her record.

Hillary Clinton's record in Central America among other places as Secretary of State has been horrible for poor people as many stories including, Before Her Assassination, Berta Cáceres Singled Out Hillary Clinton for Backing Honduran Coup (03/11/2016), which shows that when the media isn't reporting widely her record against minorities, often for the benefit of corporate donors is atrocious; and there's plenty more reports where that came from.



Honduran children were among those forced to leave the country then after she left the State Department when Barack Obama was being criticized for being the deporter in chief she said, “We have to send a clear message, just because your child gets across the border, that doesn’t mean the child gets to stay. So, we don’t want to send a message that is contrary to our laws or will encourage more children to make that dangerous journey.” (06/18/2014). This is of course the exact opposite of what she promised to Karla; and it is an example of how she responds when she's in power not campaigning. This is just one of many examples where she has a record of saying one thing during a campaign and doing another in power.



The Haitians didn't do any better as reported in High Hopes for Hillary Clinton, Then Disappointment in Haiti. (03/14/2016) Like most of her other complaints from poor people victimized by her policies it is only reported briefly in the traditional press while her positive propaganda is repeated over and over again, except for the complaints the Republicans focus on, which is often not nearly the most important parts of her record.

Similar manipulation tactics were almost certainly used to recruit African Americans, including the mothers of victims of police violence while she declines to look into the research on the root causes of violence and how it escalates as I explained in numerous previous articles including Media Suppresses Causes Of Orlando And Texas Shootings Again and Media Ignores Solutions For Both Police And Black Lives Matter. Recently she has called for gun control; however like most other issues this is a recent reversal of past positions when it suite her agenda at any given time. She supported background checks and the assault weapons ban as first lady but when running for campaigns at one time or another catered to gun right interests and has supported enormous amounts of weapons sales abroad including a lot that wound up in the hands of hostile regimes or terrorists.

As I explained in past posts, research shows that reasonable gun control is almost certainly a part of the solution but it is definitely not the only contributing factor and probably not even the most important one by far. The most important long term contributing cause to escalating violence including both the shootings of minorities by police and the shooting of police in retaliation is almost certainly child abuse and corporal punishment that teaches violence at an early age and escalates to bullying hazing and domestic violence later in life. Additional long term contributing causes to violence include income inequality, poverty, abandoned inner cities, lack of education and more, which I cited in the previous posts about the Orlando shootings and police shootings mentioned earlier. Addressing the long term contributing causes will protect both the police and civilians including minorities; however it is often against the ideologies of the political class that seems far more concerned about getting richer and maintaining control of the government and propaganda used to make decisions.

Regrettably many people may be slow to recognize this if they've been taught to respond to appeals to emotion from an early age; however if more efforts can be made to slowly teach the majority of the public all the details and encourage them to check facts then real solutions that reduce violence poverty, war and many other problems can be implemented.



Fortunately, as indicated during the protests in California, some Hispanics are already catching on to Hillary Clinton's scams like the Haitians that have been protesting her mishandling of donations to help their country. If they can do more to teach other Hispanics, eventually more of them will recognize Hillary Clinton for the political manipulator that she really is and if their own report is correct, "Hispanics never re-engage: Unforgiving," many Hispanics could be helpful in a reform movement that helps out their own people as well as the rest of the country.

In order to expand this it has to be done slowly at the grassroots level; or we need major reform so it can be done on a much larger scale if we can get help from a reformed political and media establishment that is acting in the best interests of all the public not just campaign donors.

Which may mean we have to throw the bums out of Congress and the White House!

Walmart had at least two employees stab people after encountering problems with other Walmart workers and another one started a fire in retaliation for complaints from management. One of them was included an attack on a contractor for Walmart after the employee had a discussion with his boss; and he also attacked a firefighter who happened to witness it and attempted to stop it. One of his friends claimed it was “Out Of Character” however there were other reports of mental illness and possibly a similar previous incident.

There were also two evacuations due to possible chemical attacks. One of them was just pepper spray but it was enough to send three people to the hospital. The other one allegedly made a possible "Weapon Of Mass Destruction," which is what he was charged with out of items he found in the store. Supposedly he made it on camera, although they didn't realize what he was doing until after the fact. This story didn't get much if any national attention; however it is almost certainly being either exaggerated or under reported. If it is possible to build a weapon of mass destruction with items found in Walmart while in the store it is a serious concern; however, I suspect, this is unlikely. Simple chemical weapons have been made in the past; sometimes by simply mixing ammonia and Bleach which causes a toxic reaction, which is quickly recognized. In the current panic the government is routinely portraying things as terrorists attacks making it difficult to recognize legitimate cases.

There were at least nine different shootings at Walmart and a tenth nearby, this month; at least three of them hit people although there were few if any deaths; and another that led to a chase. Several may have involved lock downs or evacuations. There were, however at least two deaths as a result of car accidents. Two of the past deaths are resulting in trial of murder or manslaughter; including one by employees that tackled a shoplifter and another that involved a police officer that killed an unarmed man and may have lied about the circumstances.

There were also numerous bomb threats; the most dramatic involved two separate incidents, both in Mississippi where someone came in person announcing they were going to blow the place up or “I have a bomb and I’m not afraid to use it.” Two of the shooting incidents were also in Mississippi. Another devise was exploded although they didn't say if it was just a precaution which they do often with suspicious devices. Most of the bomb threats are almost always anonymous, or at least they try to be anonymous, and false.

There were a variety of assaults or knife fights including one where a man carried a bat threatening anyon that might try to stop him while walking out without paying; a knife fight with a shoplifted knife; several randon assaults including one where a loss prevention officer was beaten until he was unconscious, another where four or five employees pulled a man off a police officer and a brawl that involved thirty people, among other things.

There was also another report about a store in Oklahoma which was getting more police activity than other parts of the city, although this is common in many other cities.

They're having more public relations disasters including outrage because they fired another popular employee with cerebral palsy; and labor organizations in China are consulting with US organizations to stand up for their rights.

They had another rabies scare; and an armed group was spotted at one of their stores in body armor. It turned out tehy were just preparing for the end of the world and their weapons were all legal.

Most people have heard the excuse about "my dog ate my homework."

They may not have heard the one where "My dog drove my car into Walmart while I was shopping."

Strange things happen at Wal-Mart!

In 2006 Wake Up Wal-Mart did a study, "Is Wal-Mart Safe?" based on incidents in 2004, (PDF) about crime at Wal-Mart which showed that it increased when Wal-Marts opened up and that crime was higher at Wal-Mart than at other retailers. Since then Wal-Mart Shootings began compiling a list of gun related incidents at Wal-Mart and demonstrated that they have a large number of them, including on average more than one shooting per week somewhere in the country. In January of 2014 another study, "Rolling Back Prices and Raising Crime Rates?" provided additional statistical research indicating that Wal-Mart might be contributing to higher crime rates or at least a slowing of the decline in crime. The study found that. “on average, communities with Walmarts had 17 more property crimes and two more violent crimes per 10,000 people than those communities without Walmarts.” I reviewed this more in Wal-Mart’s crime problem, Rolling Back Safety more than prices? where I explained that although this study is helpful they could have done better with additional data that is available and I reviewed some of that. I also added my own review about why I think that Wal-Mart policies have been contributing to higher crime in a previous blog, Wal-Mart high crime rate continues un-investigaterd and have provided additional information under the author tag Walmart Crime Watch.

Stacy Mitchell has also compiled a list of other studies about Wal-Mart and how they impact society, Key Studies on Big-Box Retail & Independent Business. To the best of my knowledge Wal-Mart has done as little as they seem to get away with, often relying on rhetoric that isn't backed up with action, when it comes to addressing any of their critics concerns, including crime. The following are a list of incidents that occurred in July 2016. According to the "Is Wal-Mart Safe?" the average store in their sampling had 250 incidents per year, indicating that these are only a fraction of the crime reports at Wal-Mart, and presumably, the ones most likely to make the news on the internet nationwide. This isn't statistically representative, as the 2006 or the "Rolling Back Prices and Raising Crime Rates?" study or some of the studies cited by Stacy Mitchell; but it does provide some additional information that may help recognize how many problems there are at Wal-Mart.
